Fantastic to see WISE Charitable Trust has been successful in securing some much-needed support for its Warmer Homes and Illness Prevention Installation initiative via the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's Support for Energy Education in Communities (SEEC) 2023/24 funding round. This hugely valuable mahi is so important and is all about creating warmer, drier and healthier homes for our Taranaki communities #EnergisingNewZealand

Great to catch up with the team from the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce this week. Todd Energy has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with the Chamber, and it was great to get both organisations together to discuss our shared commitment to ensuring Taranaki is a vibrant place to live and work with a great quality of life for all #EnergisingNewZealand

This month, our friends at the Trees for Survival Trust are celebrating their first ever Donate a Native Tree appeal! For $7, you can donate a native tree to the Trees for Survival programme - helping local schools and their tamariki to grow, nurture and plant native trees. As long standing supporters, we love the kaupapa of this environmental education programme - check out the Trees for Survival website to find out how you can get involved!

We're thrilled to have recommitted to a further two years of our Planting Trees for Tomorrow partnership with Taranaki Rugby Football Union. Over the last two years, this partnership has enabled local tamariki to make a positive contribution to their own natural environment and we can't wait to see this continue. Ka rawe!

Hāwera now has a brand-new ambulance station thanks to the amazing support and drive of the south Taranaki community! The new facility was officially opened at a special ceremony in late March, with members of the Todd Energy team invited to attend in recognition of our ongoing support for Hato Hone St John. This International Women's Day, we're shining the spotlight on our Kapuni Laboratory team and the three Todd Energy wahine - Dulani, Iona and Jashan - who keep its wheels in motion. Together, these three are the brains behind what is quite possibly the only laboratory in New Zealand with the capability to analyse food grade CO₂ - meaning they have a critical role to play in Energising New Zealand. Ka pai tō mahi!  

We're very excited to be standing alongside our friends at Taranaki Retreat and can't wait to see Tatiana, the lovely Todd Energy-sponsored llama on the water this Saturday as part of the 2024 Waimanako Duck Race. Yes, we realise llamas are not natural swimmers but we remain hopeful all the same! In that often busy lead up to the end of the year, we missed the opportunity to celebrate our Todd Energy team - Damo, Jenna, Naz and Max - who took out the top spot in the 2023 Taranaki Construction Safety Group (TCSG) Taranaki Apprentice Challenge! You can find out more about the annual Apprentice Challenge, which has been running for more than 15 years, in our latest 'Community Focus'.

2.7 Ha between our Mangahewa A and G sites has been covered with native rakau thanks to the hard mahi of young graduates from the NorthTec | Te Pūkenga Forestry Skills Course, delivered by Tree Machine Services and supported by the Tupu ā Nuku environmental workforce development programme. It's been so rewarding to follow Trees for Survival Trust's progress since the initiative first came to Taranaki in 2022. Todd Energy loves supporting this fantastic, education-based model which works with tamariki to restore the natural environment, and we can't wait to see six new Taranaki schools joining the programme next year.
