Once again, OjiFS got right behind ‘R U OK? Day’ this year, to promote mental health awareness across the business and encourage us all to check in on others by asking the simple question, “are you OK?”. Looking out for one another is something we do every day at OjiFS, but taking pause on R U OK? Day to encourage connection, support each other and promote awareness, serves as a timely reminder. Each Business Unit (BU) across OjiFS acknowledged R U OK? Day in a different way with various get-togethers, activities and communication initiatives. One of the most powerful messages came from a two-minute video created by Norwich Football Club that was shared with some of our teams. Watch the clip if you haven’t seen it – it's incredibly thought provoking. Our packaging teams across our New Zealand facilities got right behind Daffodil Day today, standing with those impacted by cancer and together, raising funds for this important cause. With one in three New Zealanders affected by cancer during their lifetime, it’s a disease that touches us all. Daffodil Day gives us the opportunity to come together and make a real difference. Every dollar raised on Daffodil Day contributes to cancer care for patients and their families, education and awareness programmes, and life-saving research. Support for this incredible organisation helps make a difference in the lives of many Kiwis and ensures no one must face cancer alone. #OjiFibreSolutions #OjiFS #OjiFSPackagingNZ #SharedValue #YellowforAwareness #DaffodilDay #CancerAwareness #CommunitySupport #SocialResponsibility

OjiFS Packaging Queensland recently held its inaugural Open Home event where over 50 metro customers were welcomed and had the opportunity to experience firsthand our operational excellence, cutting-edge innovations, and sustainability initiatives. The event marked a significant milestone, with the installation of the EVOL100 flexo folder gluer (capable of producing over 300 cartons per minute!), which completes the final stage of the full plant fitout at the Packaging Queensland facility. Read more about our event and how the EVOL100 has significantly enhanced Packaging Queensland’s production capability, in the full article below. Special thanks to Prof Pierre Pienaar, Education Director of the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) and Immediate Past President of the WPO World Packaging Organisation, for his valuable update on global and local sustainability trends, emphasising the critical role that packaging innovations play in reducing environmental impact. Well done to the metro sales team at Packaging Queensland: Sheahan Perera, Marchaine Bohm, Michael Gibbs and Creg Aspinall. Huge thanks to everyone else who was involved in making this event a success. And of course, thank you to our valued customers - for taking time out of your busy schedules to join us. We look forward to continuing our journey of continued growth and success together! #OjiFS #PackagingQueensland #Sustainability #Innovation #CustomerEngagement #OjiFSPackagingAustralia #SharedValue #PackagingExcellence #TeamSuccess #SustainableSolutions

Over the weekend, our Packaging Queensland team tackled the True Grit Events military inspired obstacle challenge in Kooralbyn—a 10km adventure packed with 30 muddy, challenging, and character-building obstacles! After a week of rain, they were blessed with sun, though the mud was still there to keep the team on their toes. From climbing high walls and crawling under barbed wire to wading through freezing water, it was tough, messy, but lots of fun! What they didn’t expect was how much closer they’d become as a team—lots of laughs, support, and even some deeper conversations along the way. Back at work, the high-fives and fist bumps have continued, along with a stronger sense of team spirit and communication. Congratulations to our True Grit Warriors: Trevor Pouwhare, Bennie Du Plessis, Tee Robinson, Clint Pfeiffer, Ben Braxton, Taa Moeun, Josh Fox, Josh Halter, Gaz Jones, Lee Holmes, Harlan Pather, Ray Ruiz, and Zac Eastley. #OjiFibreSolutions #OjiFSPackagingAustralia #OjiFSPackagingQueensland #TeamBuilding #TrueGrit #Teamwork #Leadership #Camaraderie #EmployeeEngagement #ChallengeAccepted #StrongerTogether #PositiveWorkplace

Our Packaging Queensland’s distribution centre in Mareeba, marked a significant milestone recently, with the successful installation of two new carton erecting machines – the Boix FP-4 and Boix 1530 tray erectors. These state-of-the-art machines enhance our capability to meet the growing demand from local banana, avocado, mango, and citrus growers, while also improving efficiency, safety, and lowering power consumption at our site. Kudos to our Far North Queensland sales team, Craig Hunter and Peter Fomiatti, for driving this initiative forward. A big thank you as well to Packaging Machinery Technician Anthony Jovanovic (pictured left) and Site Manager John Parry (pictured right) for their exceptional support during the installation. We’re excited to see how these advancements will help us better serve our customers and expand our reach in the region. An empty corner of our Packaging New South Wales entrance was begging to be filled, so structural designers Craig Holland and joanne sandles put their OjiFS ‘innovative’ value to work and created a rotating globe from corrugated off-cuts. Not only does this display captivate the attention of site visitors, but it showcases the strength and quality of our sustainably-sourced fibre-based materials, pinpoints our site location and highlights the creativity of our talented designers. With nearly 50 years’ experience, Craig has pioneered numerous technical motion displays. While Joanne has developed countless innovative packaging solutions over her 30 years in cardboard design. Our customers reap the benefits of their combined expertise and creativity, and we eagerly anticipate their next innovative packaging project.
