  • New Zealand has built a world-class technology sector known for its ingenuity, practicality and willingness to challenge convention. This success can make us an attractive target for state actors, competitors, and criminals.   We have today released Secure Innovation guidance alongside the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS), for founders and leaders of start-ups in the emerging technology sector.   This guidance is for emerging technology companies in New Zealand and outlines cost-effective measures leaders can take now to protect their ideas, reputation, and future success.   As part of a joint effort, this has been published at the same time as similar guidance from the security intelligence agencies in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US.   Together, we are helping to protect our respective technology sectors from a range of current and emerging threats, particularly those from state actors.   Learn more about our Secure Innovation guidance for New Zealand's emerging technology companies here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gzdKSJNQ

  • Joint guidance 📢 Within critical infrastructure, operational technology (OT) controls many of the essential services we rely on – from the water we drink, to the transport systems that gets us from A to B. Ensuring our OT systems are cyber secure is paramount to preserving our everyday life.   We have partnered with our Australian counterparts, Australian Signals Directorate and other international agencies to support their release of the ‘Principles of operational technology cyber security’ publication.   These principles aim to help leaders, developers and other key stakeholders make robust, informed, and comprehensive decisions when designing, implementing, and managing cyber security risks in OT environments.   The six principles are:  👉 ensure the system is safe  👉know and defend your vital systems  👉protect your OT data – it is valuable 👉 separate OT from other networks  👉secure your supply chain  👉prepare your people – they are your first line of defence.   Read the paper and find out more about keeping OT cyber secure 👉 https://lnkd.in/gnpvGRuJ   #CyberSecurity #SecurityInfrastructure
