“My dream job”. That’s how Brendon McInnarney, Senior Parts Product Manager at Mazda Motors of New Zealand Limited describes his role. Since joining Mazda in 2001 Brendon has continually shared his fascination with mechanical things – and Mazda – with his entire family. Now driving an MX-30 EV on a daily basis, Brendon’s wife happens to drive an MX-5, his eldest daughter drives a Mazda3 and his youngest daughter owns a Mazda2. Interestingly, they even have an RX-8 which been converted into a barbecue. Sharing this amount of passion for the Mazda brand not only enriches the lives of others and our wider team, but also leads to a higher level of service for our customers – many of whom are as enthusiastic about Mazda as Brendon is. The Japanese concept of “omotenashi” is demonstrated by anticipating the needs of others and surpassing their expectations to ensure a memorable experience, but everyone involved needs to be invested in delivering that experience. Our Parts Distribution Manager, Samuel Jones, applies omotenashi every day while working with his team and our dealer network to support customers across the country. “For me there’s great satisfaction in the process: parts arrive, they’re picked, and then despatched to our dealer network. By working as a team, this process happens quickly and efficiently so we can achieve our goal of keeping our customers’ cars on the road.” It was only natural that Sam followed a career path in warehousing and distribution. “My grandfather travelled the world in a military logistics role, and my dad spent his career in logistics for a number of industries. It’s in my blood! “Mazda Motors of New Zealand Limited stood out to me because the whole team is focused on trying to do things better and challenging how things have always been done – and we all take a huge amount of pride in doing the job well for our customers, which is really important to me.” #MazdaNZ #MazdaPeople

Our vision is to be a car-loving company that creates moving experiences through the “joy of driving”, and our Mazda Motors of New Zealand Limited team personifies this vision every day.   Masashi Tomita hails from Tokyo and began his career in IT in the USA before joining Mazda Motor Corporation in Hiroshima, supporting overseas markets in various sales and marketing functions. Masashi was no stranger to our country having spent five years here on a product planning secondment, and in 2022 he returned to New Zealand with his family and joined us as a permanent member of the local team.   “Nothing symbolises the joy of driving more than my MX-5. The first time I ever drove one I instantly fell in love with the agile, top-down driving experience. It was this car that made me want to join Mazda! I used to own a second-generation MX-5 many years ago in Japan, but when we came back to New Zealand, I had to bring my car with us – a current generation Roadster.   “Having been involved with my local MX-5 community, I love seeing the passion they have for their cars and the deep connection they have with Mazda. It really motivates me to keep delivering the best products for our customers.”   #MazdaNZ #MazdaPeople #MX5
