Trent, our Junior Network Engineer knows how to live life to the max! Taking five weeks to travel Europe this year - we chipped in to help him on his YOLO experience. ✈ Trent's been a part of our team for over three years now and just a couple of perks of working at Lightwire is you get the opportunity to take extended leave after two years - and EVERY year you also get a $1.000 Wellness Allowance - to spend it on anything that makes you feel AWESOME! If you deal in voice products, 3CX, SIP Trunks or Teams Phone chances are you’ve met our Godfather of Voice, Richie (he’s the one on the left 😉 ) He's has been working his magic for us for 8 years as our Voice & Network Engineer. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of working with him you’d think he was born and bred in the world of voice, but nope – he literally stumbled into it. Did you know he has a Bachelor of Communication Studies, double majors in Screen & Media Studies, and Marketing? Then how the heck did he become a Voice and Network Engineer? Richie’s IT career started in a call centre for one of NZ’s big telcos doing some residential phone and internet provisioning. In 2016 he joined Lightwire and spent some time leading our Helpdesk, then Business Support and ended up being the voice expert within the Support Team. During the 2020 lockdown he had the opportunity to learn more about 3CX and subsequently gained an Advanced 3CX Certification. On the job learning also allowed him to become an expert on our other voice solutions SIP and Teams Phone. This lead him to his current role as our Voice and Network Engineer. He has moved through the company with his enthusiasm for the customer experience. He’s on the front lines with our business customers and Partners ensuring they get the best experience possible and requirements are met. We all can vouch for him, that he gets so much great feedback from our Partners - he's an absolute asset to us. 🤗 Richie loves his live music – Twice in the last two years he’s bought concert tickets in Australia to see the bands he loves, only for them to announce NZ shows a few weeks later – so ends up seeing them twice.😂 Rock on with ya badself Richie!
