About us

Asahi Beverages is one of the leading beverage companies in Australia and New Zealand, producing an extensive range of alcohol and non-alcohol beverages. Our non-alcohol portfolio extends across soft drinks, mixers, mineral water, water, juice, tea, energy and sports drinks, with iconic and well-loved brands such as Schweppes, Cool Ridge and Pepsi. Our alcohol portfolio includes both local craft and international beers such as Asahi Super Dry and Peroni, as well as cider, ready-to-drink and spirits brands. Asahi Beverages formed in 2014 through the integration of the Schweppes Australia and Asahi Premium Beverages businesses in Australia and Independent Liquor in New Zealand. Our Group also includes The Better Drinks Co, a NZ based juice and organic soft drink business and craft brewer, Mountain Goat. We work in a category with rapidly changing consumer wants and needs, which fuels our entrepreneurial spirit and our thirst for category-growing innovation. Our company has grown enormously over the past decade, and as we continue to evolve, we’re looking for people who thrive on collaborating, connection and building high performing teams and who are agile, adventurous and always willing to jump in and give it their all. It’s an exciting time to join our company. We believe that with us, you’ll get the experiences you need to develop to the next stage of your career as together we build the Asahi Beverages and the beverages category of the future. We had the honour of welcoming Moe Turaga, a survivor and advocate against modern slavery, to our Southbank head office to share his story. Moe's journey from Fiji to Australia took a harrowing turn when he unknowingly worked for two years without his salary reaching his family. This shocking revelation shows modern slavery is a pressing concern in Australia. Asahi Beverages is committed to respecting human rights, and Moe’s insights highlight how businesses like ours can better protect human rights across the supply chain. Inspired by Moe’s story, we can make a significant difference in taking action to end modern slavery.

We’re proud to have partnered with The Smith Family for this year’s Big Give Back, raising $311,500 to support the education of young Australians experiencing disadvantage. A huge thank you to our consumers who, by purchasing non-alcoholic drinks made by Asahi Lifestyle Beverages (including Cool Ridge, Solo, Schweppes, and Pepsi Max) during August, helped support students through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program. Asahi Lifestyle Beverages CEO, Nigel Parsons , said, “Now in its fifth year, the Big Give Back is as important as ever to customers who believe in this great cause. We’re extremely proud to partner with The Smith Family for this vital initiative helping students in-need across the country.”

The 2024 One Young World conference in Montreal is a wrap. We’re so proud of Annabelle Dryden, Monique Di Gregorio, Scott Hausman and Suraj A. who, together with Asahi colleagues from other countries, joined 2,000+ young leaders to discuss global challenges like health equality, indigenous voices, climate and ecological crisis, AI and peace.   A huge thank you to our executive sponsors Rita Nador and Nerim Durgutovic for supporting this year’s cohort. We can’t wait to hear all about their experience and see the positive impact they make within Asahi and beyond!    #OYW24

Congratulations to our incredible CUB Premium Beverages team for winning the Liquor Legends Supplier of the Year award! Liquor Legends have a clear set of KPIs that must be met to earn this accolade, including alignment on joint business planning and exceptional supplier partnerships. This win is a fantastic recognition of the collaboration across our business to deliver on our customers' needs. Our brands were also celebrated, with Great Northern taking home Best Performing Beer and Hard Rated winning Best Performing RTD. Winning these awards is a total team effort, so congratulations to everyone involved! Pictured below are accepting the award on behalf of CUB – Ben Koetsier, Ian Giles, Liz Hood and Gordon Dimmick.

From its picturesque location in the foothills of kunanyi / Mount Wellington to its role supplying thirsty beer lovers for generations, the Cascade Brewery holds a special place in the hearts of Tasmanians and many mainlanders as well! It stands as a unique example of Australia’s industrial heritage but remains a vital part of the local community, supports hundreds of local businesses and is a must-visit Hobart tourist destination. Earlier this year, Cascade celebrated its 200th anniversary. Our hard-working team at the brewery sat down with ABC to tell its enduring story. Over the last few weeks our team members have been busy volunteering for Foodbank Victoria. Together, we’ve packed the equivalent of 59,025 meals for Victorians doing it tough. Like Asahi Beverages, Foodbank acknowledges the importance of reducing food waste and helping reduce emissions.   Foodbank Victoria does invaluable work, feeding 65,000 people a day who live in our cities, towns and local neighbourhoods – that’s more than an MCG capacity crowd every two days.

What a feast of flavours we've had over the last two weeks, thanks to our Multiculturalism Community at Asahi Beverages.   Our teams organised a series of cultural snack events across various sites in Australia and New Zealand, where colleagues sampled delicious food from around the world and shared stories about their own cultural heritage.   It's one of the many ways we celebrate the rich diversity that strengthens and unites us at Asahi Beverages, empowering everyone to be their authentic selves and shine as they are.

Many Australians think brewing is still a male-dominated industry. But that’s no longer true, with women playing major roles in overseeing operations at our breweries and other sites, brewing the beer, taste-testing and so much more. This includes our Group CEO Amanda Sellers, Group Chief Supply Chain Officer Sandra Gibbs, Chief Brewer Abbotsford Brewery Sarah Laing and Chief Beer Taster Tina Panoutsos. We were delighted to invite the Herald Sun to our Abbotsford Brewery recently to see these amazing women in action. See what Mitch Clarke had to say below. In partnership with The Smith Family, we're happy to announce the return of The Big Giveback to raise vital funds to support the education of young Australians experiencing disadvantage.   The campaign is in its fifth year and will see 10 cents from the sale of non-alcoholic drinks made by Asahi Lifestyle Beverages (including Cool Ridge, Solo, Schweppes and Pepsi Max) during August support students through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program. Asahi Lifestyle Beverages CEO, Nigel Parsons, said: “Through The Big Giveback, your small change can make a big change. This is a simple way for people to support Aussie kids who are doing it tough." You can get behind The Big Giveback at participating locations including Hoyts, Lord of the Fries and Wendy’s or by making a donation online.
