A construction worker died when he was crushed by materials at a Brooklyn worksite Wednesday, authorities said.

The man was working at the Myrtle Avenue site in Bedford-Stuyvesant shortly after 11 a.m. when a forklift on the roof of the three-story building tipped over — sending debris falling onto the 44-year-old, police said.

Photographs from the scene show one of the man’s co-workers appearing devastated and covered in blood as other workers console him.

The victim, who was in his 40s, was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, but he could not be saved.

The city’s Department of Buildings is investigating the incident, a spokeswoman said.
