Established in 2001, Jade Consult is an ISO certified private consulting company specialized in the field of hydropower, transmission lines, roads, water resources and irrigation and environmental & social studies of various infrastructure development projects. We are registered with Department of Industries (Reg. No. 15037), Government of Nepal, under Company Act 2053. The firm is certified with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and hence ensures quality services to the best satisfaction of its clients. Since 2001, highly competent staffs of Jade have been providing comprehensive, integrated solutions to all segments of hydropower, transmission line and other infrastructure development sector. We offer our clients exceptionally detailed industry knowledge and engineering services. So far, Jade Consult has been involved in over 3 dozen hydro power projects totaling up to 4140 MW capacity at different stages of development. Apart from Hydropower, we are the leader in transmission line sector in Nepal with more than a decade of experience in high voltage transmission line system of up to 400 kV capacity across the country comprising a total length of more than 1575 km. We are also involved in 1745 Km of distribution lines, 16 Nos. of 220 kV transmission substations, 4 Nos. of 132 kV transmission substations and 30 Nos. of 33kV distribution substations. Having experience in this field for over a decade, Jade Consult also provides all necessary technical support to hydro power developers and links them with contractors, suppliers, financiers and equipment manufacturers

Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project (UT-1:216 MW) The project has made significant strides with several key developments. The Head Race Tunnel (HRT), spanning nearly 9.5 km, is now approximately 72% complete, with a major breakthrough achieved in June 2024. Foundation works for the weir area are underway, including partial wall concreting. The surge chamber excavation has been completed, and progress continues on the surge shaft and vertical pressure shaft. Concreting work in the powerhouse is advancing across various levels. We conducted a comprehensive aquatic and terrestrial ecological survey for the 750MW West Seti Hydroelectric Project, focusing on sustainable energy and environmental balance. We are thrilled to announce the inauguration of the 400/220/132/11 kV Hetauda Substation in Makwanpur District by Prime Minister Pusha Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on June 14, 2024. As Nepal’s third 400 kV substation, this facility significantly enhances the electricity supply to Hetauda, Bharatpur, Simara, and Birgunj and plays a crucial role in exporting excess electricity to India via the Hetauda-Dhalkebar 400 kV Transmission Line. It also supports power transfer to Western Nepal through the Hetauda-Bharatpur-Bardghat-New Butwal 220 kV Transmission Line. The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and Jade Consult served as consultants for the 220/132/11 kV Hetauda Substation under Nepal-India Electricity Transmission and Trade Project.
