Welding Laboratory

The project was designed and developed with Wilhelmsen Ship Services, who provided a full package of Unitor equipment.
The laboratory is designed to gain professional skills of different levels (from basic to advanced) in the Oxy-Acetylene Welding (OAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) processes. Oxy-acetylene brazing and flame cutting are also available.

The laboratory is designed to perform the following types of training:

The Welding Laboratory includes the following equipment:

RENEGADE ES 300I (ESAB)
Renegade ES 300i (ESAB) is an inverter based MMA/Stick and LiveTIG machine with extreme power to weight ratio. Combined with high duty cycle and the ability to run the machine on long mains and welding cable makes this a superior welding machine for both on-and off site applications.

The machine has an automatic input voltage sensor and can operate with any input voltage between 230 V and 480 V 3-phase. Ideal for professional MMA welding with electrodes up to 6mm and a high duty cycle of 300 A at 40%, it excels in high ambient temperatures. Welding processes: GTAW (TIG), SMAW/MMA (Stick).

UWW-161 TP MULTI PROCESS WELDING INVERTER (UNITOR)
A welding machine for MIG/MAG welding, Stick electrode welding, and TIG welding of all weldable metals.

UWI-203 TP STICK / TIG WELDING INVERTER (UNITOR)
A lightweight, portable and powerful welding machine for stick electrode and TIG welding. Connects to any primary voltage between 380 and 440 V.

UWI-320 TP WELDING INVERTER (UNITOR)
Compact and lightweight for ease of use, the UWI-320 TP welding inverter offers an excellent performance-to-weight ratio.

TIG TORCH T-200 W.DIX 70 CONNECTOR (UNITOR)
The T-200 torch is a lightweight torch well adapted to general applications.

AUTOVISION PLUS WELDING SHIELD (UNITOR)
Head-mounted face shield for protection of the welder's eyes and face against rays, heat and sparks during welding.

UCT-500 COMBINATION TORCH MASTER KIT FOR GAS WELDING/CUTTING (UNITOR)
The UCT-500 Master kit has been assembled to cover all ordinary Acetylene / Oxygen welding, brazing and cutting work that may occur:
- Welding;
- Heating;
- Gouging;
- Flame cleaning;
- Soldering;
- Cutting;
- Rivet burning;
- Flame straightening.

Only highly qualitative and professional Unitor equipment is used during the training/education process.
The Welding Laboratory is designed for a group of 5 persons.
