About Rem Offshore Rem Offshore is a new company with old roots – tracing back to 1978 with fishery activities in Norway, Rem Offshore organisation today operates worldwide, with main office in the coastal town of Fosnavaag. The company includes an operational fleet of eleven highly modern vessels, with further three CSOVs for the offshore wind market under construction, whereof two locally in the maritime cluster of Sunnmøre. Rem Offshore prides itself of being a pioneer in several different offshore markets and will continue to build our presence in the industry. Our onshore and offshore organisation consist of highly motivated and trained employees, with a dedication to perform at the highest levels.

🌊 Exciting Milestone: Keel Laying Ceremony for our new Energy Subsea Construction vessel 🌊 On October 24th, 2024, we celebrated the keel laying ceremony for the REM Pioneer at Song Cam, Vietnam—a remarkable achievement in our journey of building this pioneering vessel! After the initial steel cutting on 3rd July, we’re thrilled to already see substantial progress 24th October with large blocks now assembled on the slipway. Now operating from the Port of Blyth, REM Power provides essential support to the Sofia Offshore Wind project and a comfortable living environment for our offshore team. This cutting-edge vessel is designed for maximum efficiency, featuring a hybrid battery solution, and houses around 45 team members and crew. It features advanced facilities aimed at ensuring the well-being of our staff, including: 🏋️♂️ Gym 📘Day room ☕ Canteen 🏥 Modern hospital 🛏️ Living quarters Jonathan Grigg MEng (Hons) MSc CEng MIMechE, Senior Project Manager, explained: “REM Power allows us to manage operations directly from the site. Rem Inspector Moves Toward Enhanced Efficiency and Reduced Emissions with 1MW QUEST® Energy Storage System Installation 🔋
⚡ We are proud to power up Rem Inspector with our cutting-edge energy storage system for Rem Offshore! ⚡ 🔋 We will integrate and deliver a 1 MW battery package featuring our QUEST® energy storage system. The containerised battery system optimises energy use by enabling peak shaving, spinning reserve, and harbour mode. ⚙️ By integrating batteries into the REM Inspector, we reduce the number of diesel generators in use while maintaining DP class, resulting in significant operational cost savings while reducing emissions. 💬 “NES has a strong track record of delivering energy storage systems to offshore vessels, which is why we have chosen them as a cooperation partner for the Rem Inspector," says Lars Conradi Andersen, CEO of Rem Offshore By retrofitting existing vessels with energy storage systems, they aim to reduce fuel consumption and emissions while maintaining operational reliability. 💬 "Reducing energy consumption on offshore vessels is achieved through several measures, including integrating battery storage, energy management systems, and optimised propulsion.
