Capacity constraints (license to produce) remain the main barrier to growth in the Salmon Farming Industry. 🐟📈 Investments in new technology are notable, as productivity has stagnated. This also includes investments in landbased facilities. The Norwegian tax regime now further limits farmer's ability to invest in new technology such as post-smolt (not deductible). However, tax burdens finally ended lower than the first proposal from the Government, and strong salmon prices still spur Norwegian players to invest.
