Christian Rynning-Tønnesen has been appointed CEO of ICP Infrastructure . Christian will also become a Senior Partner in Industry Capital Partners (ICP) alongside Yngve Slyngstad, the CEO of ICP.
ICP Infrastructure are thrilled to announce that Christian Rynning-Tønnesen has been appointed CEO of ICP Infrastructure. Christian will also become a Senior Partner in Industry Capital Partners (ICP) alongside Yngve Slyngstad, the CEO of ICP. Christian has dedicated 32 years of his career to the development of renewable energy and green industry. He worked for Statkraft from 1992 to 2005, after which he served as CFO and CEO of Norske Skog from 2005 to 2010. In 2010, Christian rejoined Statkraft as CEO, a position he held until he chose to step down on 1 April this year. During Christian’s 14 years as the CEO of Statkraft, the company strengthened its position as Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy and expanded its operations to 21 countries. Statkraft’s revenue grew from NOK 29 billion in 2010 to NOK 124 billion in 2023, and its enterprise value increased from 148 to approximately NOK 388 billion, making it the second most valuable company in Norway. Over the past five years, Statkraft has generated an average annual return of 26 percent, including dividends, to its owner, the Norwegian state. “Christian brings a wealth of experience from over three decades of working with renewable energy and green industry. Under his leadership, Statkraft executed several significant transactions across the energy transition value chain, creating a robust growth platform for the company,” said ICP co-founder and CEO Yngve Slyngstad. “I am highly motivated to find industrial solutions that can contribute to reducing the impact of climate change, while providing attractive returns for our investors. To scale the solutions necessary to achieve global climate goals, we must find innovative ways of unifying institutional capital with industrial insights,” said Christian Rynning-Tønnesen. ➡️ Last week Martin Bech Holte, Investment Director at ICP Ventures and Cecilie Skrindsrud Crnoja from Industry Capital Partners engaged in dialogue with Prince Daniel of Sweden, Markus Wallenberg and a dedicated delegation of more than 30 entrepreneurs and business leaders that came to hear about how the Aker ASA Group builds new companies on the shoulders of existing businesses. They talked about how industrial expertise linked to capital and partnerships can contribute in different phases – everything from start-up companies to infrastructure projects that contribute to accelerate the Net Zero transition 🌱

Konsernsjef Øyvind Eriksen delte erfaring med hvordan Aker kombinerer industrikunnskap og gründerkultur, og behovet for energisikkerhet og energiomstilling.
