From the inside out, we're first and foremost a people business." Our greatest strength is our employees and their diverse knowledge. Thank you ONS for having me at what has been a busy first conference day alongside industry colleagues, elected officials, thought leaders, and many more in Stavanger. I started the morning with DNB on a panel to discuss issues around financing the energy transition and wrapped the afternoon on the ONS main stage to discuss ‘The Spark of New Industries.’ Thank you especially to Amrita Sen for leading an interesting dialogue with Kjerstin Braathen, Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal and Ingrid Reumert about new technologies, the need for stable regulatory frameworks, attracting capital, ensuring profitability, and managing risks. At Aker ASA we welcome continued collaboration and dialogue with new and existing partners, authorities and other stakeholders on our path towards balancing reliable, affordable, and more sustainable energy production. #ONS2024

Today, we closed the second quarter and first-half of 2024. Halfway through the year, I am pleased to report that despite the geopolitical uncertainties, Aker has navigated with resilience and strategic focus. The first half of the year was marked by high activity across the Aker portfolio: Aker BP ASA delivered solid production in the first half and increased its production guidance, Cognite continued to accelerate its positive commercial development with annual recurring revenue (ARR) and monthly active users reaching record-highs, and Aker Solutions posted improved financial results for the period. We announced several important transactions and strategic partnerships during the period, demonstrating our more focused approach in creating shareholder value, as previously announced. Some of the main developments in the period included the completion of the refinancing of Solstad and establishment of Solstad Maritime, crystallizing value through the formation of a global carbon capture player in a JV between Aker Carbon Capture and SLB and realizing value through the agreement to sell Philly Shipyard to Hanwha, with expected closing in the fourth quarter. In conclusion, I am pleased with the progress Aker has made in the first half of 2024. We continue to make strides in our ambition of a more focused and concentrated Aker through strong partnerships and continued innovation. We are in a strong position with a robust portfolio ready to adapt to new opportunities and a solid industrial foundation for long-term growth. Below is a short video summery of the Q2 and first-half results. For more details, visit https://lnkd.in/d5tzuNuN #results Aker ASA

Streamlining operations and creating shareholder value: Aker BioMarine ASA has entered into an agreement to sell its ownership position in the Feed Ingredients business, forming the new entity, Aker BioMarine Antarctic Holding II AS. The new venture will be jointly owned — 60% by American Industrial Partners and 40% by Aker Capital. Through the new partnership, Aker stays committed to a continued focus on krill-based ingredients for fish and animal feed.   The transaction creates significant shareholder value and is an important step in crystallizing value – and enables Aker BioMarine to sharpen its focus within the human health and nutrition sector. As a 78% shareholder in Aker BioMarine, Aker remains committed to Aker BioMarine’s growth and innovation. The transaction is expected to close during Q3 2024, pending necessary competition clearances. https://lnkd.in/dNetUWWt   #AkerASA #AkerBioMarine #StrategicMove #ValueCreation

#kreftforskning #håp #innsamlingsaksjonen, Ingrid Stenstadvold Ross, Aker Solutions, Aker BP ASA, Aker BioMarine ASA, Cognite, Solstad Offshore ASA, Aize, Aker Horizons, REV Ocean, HUB Ocean, Industry Capital Partners, Aker Property Group AS, Aker Young

As we turn the page of the first quarter 2024, I’m pleased to share the key figures and strategic decisions that are shaping Aker in the long term. By the numbers in short term, Aker’s Net Asset Value stood at NOK 60.4 billion at the end of the quarter, a decrease from NOK 63.2 billion in the previous quarter. Despite this, Aker maintained robust operations and high activity across the portfolio. Important strategic initiatives are progressing as part of our active ownership agenda for long-term value creation. Two of the main events during the first quarter, were the completion of the refinancing of Solstad, and the agreement between Aker Carbon Capture and SLB to combine their respective carbon capture businesses in a new and stronger joint venture. Our commitment to long-term industrial development and shareholder value creation remains firm. However, moving forward our approach will be even more focused, concentrated on larger portfolio companies, prioritizing cash-yielding investments that contribute to increased and diversified upstream cash. The aim is both to increase our ability to seize value-adding investment opportunities and to ensure continued predictable dividends to shareholders in the years to come. For more insight and reflections on important issues and events in Aker, I invite you to read my shareholder letter, which is available on www.akerasa.com.
