If so, Roll Group is looking for you to join our team as a Senior Procurement Specialist! In this position, you’ll be working from our office in Capelle aan den IJssel.

Roll Group owns a versatile heavy transport seagoing fleet consisting of dock-type vessels, which all have the option of three loading modes - Ro-Ro, Flo-Flo and Lo-Lo, and deck carriers. On the land side Roll Group operates globally a large number of modern heavy lift cranes with capacity up to 4000Tonns, Self- Propelled Modular Trailers (SPMT’s) and Conventional Trailers. The specific characteristics of Roll Group’s asset base ensures the ability to serve a wide range of markets, such as: Oil & Gas and Renewable energies.
Position
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, your main focus will be on project procurement and improvement projects. You'll play a crucial role in refining our procurement processes to support project success. Leading strategic sourcing initiatives and enhancing supplier performance will be central to your responsibilities. Join our team in advancing excellence and innovation in procurement, and contribute to shaping the future of global projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership of and manage an assigned category/portfolio of suppliers.
- Analyze procurement data, identify savings/improvement opportunities, and implement strategies for each category/supplier.
- Conclude and implement frame agreements for the delivery of goods and performance of services.
- Support the implementation and compliance with all Roll Group Procurement policies and procedures.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders from other locations/business functions, acting as a trusted partner to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Translate business needs into sustainable procurement solutions and closely track/report progress achieved in the implementation/execution phase.
- Lead and manage end-to-end sourcing projects (CAPEX), collaborating closely with internal stakeholders/cross-functional teams.
- Conduct contract negotiations to secure favorable terms with suppliers while maintaining positive relationships.
- Ensure that all legal contract requirements are met.
- procurement activities support social responsibility and sustainability goals, aligning with ISO 20400:2017 principles to contribute to a more sustainable future.
- and manage assigned procurement (improvement) projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders/cross-functional teams to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with objectives and timelines.
Your qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Higher vocational education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- NEVI I (is preferred).
- 5 years of experience in a similar role in procurement.
- Experience in managing end-to-end sourcing projects.
- Experience in supplier management, performance measurements, supplier improvement and development, risk management, and commercial negotiations.
- Proactive and business-driven with a sense of continuous improvement.
- Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to travel abroad.
- Proficiency in English (both verbally and in writing).

Our selection process
The recruitment procedure will include two face-to-face interviews, possibly back-to-back. Your terms of employment and benefits package will be discussed at a subsequent meeting. We aim to finalize the entire process within 4 weeks.
