Risk Professional @ Wholesale & Rural Tech

You and your job

Risk Management is a key activity within Banking. As Risk Professional in the Wholesale & Rural Tech Division, you support both squads and (senior) management to execute and validate the Dynamic Risk Cycle for all their IT & Operational risks. As you are the First Line of defence you will focus on making sure your division remains in control. Some key activities are preparing and supporting the Risk & Control process, such as (not exhaustive), Business Continuity Management, Information Security, IT Risk, Identity & Access Management and overall Risk awareness.

You report to the Manager of the Tech Control Office and are part of the Risk team of W&R Tech. The team consists of a Tech Control Officer, Domain Control Officers, Security Professionals and other Risk Professionals. Next to that you will work closely with second line risk and compliance departments. You drive the execution of the standard periodical assessments in order for W&R Tech to become and stay in control.

The Risk team of W&R Tech makes sure that the division is demonstrably in control of their risks in order to be and remain stable & secure. This includes implementing Standards, Controls and Procedures. The Risk team of W&R Tech is the single point of contact for the management teams of W&R Tech concerning the Dynamic Risk Cycle and all In Control topics.

Practical Examples

As Risk professional, you work closely together with the Tech Control Officer, Domain Control Officers, Security Professionals and Risk Partner in the Risk team. Together you ensure the division is in control with respect to risk, security and compliance. You support identification of all relevant risks, checks on implemented controls and facilitation of the risk dialogue with relevant stakeholders. An important part of your responsibilities is to capture all important risk and security data from various sources, create one common overview and capture feedback. Next to that, you support the Tech Control Officer on various risk related meetings, by preparing the agenda, preparing reports, taking minutes and capturing actions. Part of your daily work is to ensure all relevant risk tooling is up-to-date, by keeping track of updates, registering findings, capturing actions and attaching evidence. All in close collaboration with the Tech Control Officer, the Risk Partner, Tech management and teams and other Risk Professionals; Risk Management is performed together, it is a team effort.

Most Important Responsibilities

• Risk registration (capturing actions, findings and evidence in risk tooling such as Archer)
• Reporting (creating and updating dashboards, prepare risk reports)
• Facilitation (support the Tech Control Officer with meeting preparation, minutes, organizing workshops)
• Support the execution of various assessments and findings with analysis, advise, progress monitoring and quality assurance

• Supporting the Tech Control Officer, Domain Control Officers and Risk Partners of the Risk team of W&R Tech
• Being proactively involved in identifying Risks
• Identifying and establishing Controls
• Preparing and processing of the Risk Dialogue
• Managing Cloud onboarding processes
• Making improvement suggestions
• Guide and provide advice to the other risk professionals in the team
• Ensuring that any actions resulting from audits and regular controls are followed up
• Contributing to quality and policy development
• Contributing to implementations resulting from audit findings
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our risk & control activities and risk awareness within the Division W&R Tech

This Is What We Offer You

• Up to a yearly salary of € 85.000,00,- gross salary per year including all benefits. (for 40 hours) depending on level of experience.
• 100 % reimbursement of the costs of home/work travel if you travel by public transport!
• € 1.400,- learning budget per year;
• Flexibility in working hours and location-independent working;
