This summer, Viterra Argentina sponsored a new sunflower technical conference organised by ASAGIR (Argentine Sunflower Association) in collaboration with INTA Argentina (Argentina’s National Institute of Agricultural Technology) and Bolsa y Cámara de Cereales de Córdoba (Cordoba Cereal Stock Market). Under the theme “Sunflower opportunities”, the #event included presentations on the management and advances in sunflower cultivation, the general context of sunflower production in the province of Córdoba and the current state of the market. Viterra Argentina colleagues from our commercial team, Paulo Marchetti, ARIEL ALBERTO BAUDINO, Sebastian Patroni and Juan Domínguez , participated in an event with over 100 attendees. Our presence at events like this strengthens our commitment to exchanging knowledge within our sector and reinforces our relationship with our customers in the region.

Recently, a group of Viterra US colleagues in Omaha volunteered to paint the home of an individual in need. This initiative was part of Project Houseworks' Brush Up event, in which Viterra was a presenting sponsor. Brush Up is a city-wide event that involves volunteer teams painting homes for over 25 low-income older adults and their families in the area. Painting houses not only refreshes the home with a new coat of paint but also contributes to the improvement of the neighbourhood and ensures the homeowners have safe and well-maintained houses with minimal exterior upkeep. We are grateful to have sponsored the event and to positively impact the #community. #theagriculturenetwork

Viterra Canada and STARS celebrated ten years of partnership with the launch of the 2025 STARS calendar. STARS provides life-saving critical care to patients in Western #Canada via ground, air, or virtual assistance. Over the years, the STARS calendar has become a key #fundraising tool for the organisation. Viterra has been covering the full printing costs of the calendar for ten consecutive years- representing a total giving of more than $2.5 million in sponsorship and overall support. “Over the last ten years, we’ve been proud partners of STARS, supporting the life-saving work they provide to patients across Western Canada,” said Viterra Canada Executive Director Kyle Jeworski. “Our annual calendar campaign is a great way to help patients tell their stories while helping STARS raise the funds necessary to ensure they can continue providing world-class medical services to those in need.” #theagriculturenetwork #community Find out more about this initiative here: https://lnkd.in/eGTeuA9h

The onboarding process for new employees at our Guadalajara office in #Mexico now includes a visit to the Encarnación de Díaz storage and handling facility. The initiative, coordinated by Viterra Mexico HR Specialist Fatima Janette Fuentes Rodriguez, allows our new colleagues to better understand how the company operates and the impact their roles will have on our business. Two visits have already taken place. Before each tour, our team at Encarnación, led by Operations Manager Jorge Castillo, presented essential topics, such as the facility's storage capacity, the commodities we handle, and the number of trains it receives each month. The Viterra Mexico Regional Safety Manager Rafael Jimenez also provided safety training to ensure the tours followed all protocols. With this new addition to the #onboarding process, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and commitment from our colleagues toward our business objectives and how we operate. #theagriculturenetwork

Viterra US recently concluded its 12-week summer internship programme, an initiative designed to empower college students with real-world experiences in the agriculture industry. Our 36 interns travelled to Viterra facilities all over the US to build the skills necessary to be successful in their fields, connect with executives and other young professionals, and explore different career paths within Viterra. Interns also enjoyed leisure activities like a visit to Omaha’s zoo. Returning intern Chad Preble reflected on his experience at Viterra. “Over the past two summers at Viterra as an Application Development Intern, I’ve been fortunate to work with colleagues, managers, and mentors who have prioritised my growth. I’ve gained immense knowledge and experience as a software developer and valuable insights into Viterra and its operations. The positive impact that Viterra and its people have had on both my personal and professional life cannot be overstated.” Congratulations to these interns for successfully finishing their #internships. We hope to see them back at Viterra soon! #theagriculturenetwork

Two years ago, Viterra colleagues in India volunteered to plant trees in an urban forest near #Mumbai using the Miyawaki method. Now, we are happy to share the before-and-after images showing the forest's development. The #Miyawaki method follows the principles of natural reforestation which includes using native trees and replicating natural forest regeneration processes. The creation of the forest has not only helped the environment by improving biodiversity and providing a habitat for birds and butterflies, but it has also proven helpful for the local #community. The increased vegetation also attracted bees, which help pollinate nearby crops. This is a far healthier and more sustainable option in comparison to artificial pollination methods, which local farmers previously had to rely on. Visitors to the area also increased as government officials, university representatives, students, and people from other villages visited the forest, to better understand the process and replicate it in their own towns. #theagriculturenetwork #India

Our team enjoyed AGIC conference in Melbourne last week, supporting the industry and celebrating growth and innovation in the grain sector with our industry peers. We engaged in various sessions over the two day conference including the container supply chain panel facilitated by Viterra General Manager Supply Chain, Derek Robjohns which provided an interesting outlook on challenges and opportunities for the industry and the five under 30 panel with Viterra Quality Services Manager, Edwina Cockburn who shared valuable insights from her experience as part of GTA's inaugural five under 30 programme. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to connect with our team this #AGIC2024!
