Over ons
We’re Robin Radar Systems, and we have you covered. Robin is a Netherlands-based technology leader in bird and drone radar. Our mission is to provide actionable information that increases safety, for humans and wildlife alike. Our systems are built for accuracy, delivering 360° coverage and early warnings. They empower teams in aviation, ecology, defence and security with reliable updates and alerts of potential hazards. We do that by combining cutting-edge hardware with smart software. Our technologies may be ahead of the pack, but our people make us great. Looking for an innovative adventure that spans the globe? Join ours! https://www.robinradar.com/careers Bird Strike Prevention in Aviation Our bird radar systems monitor and store bird movements around the clock. With MAX, you get 3D, 360° awareness, 365 days a year. As well as bringing awareness to a whole new level, our radars provide key insights, like data trends and activity hotspots, to assess and strengthen strategies and KPIs. Bird Monitoring at Wind Farms Increasingly, permits to build wind farms are given under the pre-condition that bird movements are continuously monitored before, during and after construction. Our 3D avian radars simultaneously detect and log thousands of birds and bats, providing extensive reporting for your wind farm’s smooth development and operation. MAX can even detect the beginning of mass migrations and, if needed, trigger the temporary shutdown of single or groups of turbines. Protect wildlife, minimise downtime. Drone Detection in Critical Environments Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or ‘drones’ bring new opportunities, but also severe safety and security threats. We believe advanced detection is your first line of defence, so our systems are deployable, integrate seamlessly, and provide 360° coverage, even on the move. Our purpose-built drone detection radars, ELVIRA and IRIS, can detect, track, and automatically distinguish birds from drones.

Robin Radar Systems at the EBRS 2024 ✨ 🦇 Sibylle Giraud and Jens van Erp had a ball participating in the European Bat Research Symposium (EBRS 2024) this month. Held in Tarragona, Spain, this triennial event brought together top researchers and conservationists dedicated to the study and protection of our beloved bats. At Robin, we’re proud of the role our radar technology has to play in supporting global conservation efforts. The Flying Fox Project in Australia is a great example, discover how MAX is currently supporting studies of fruit bat colonies there ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eAwYGcuy A big thank you to everyone who visited our booth, shared their research, and discussed the future of bat conservation with us. We’re excited to continue collaborating with this incredible community! 🌍 #EBRS2024 #BatConservation #RadarTechnology #Biodiversity #RobinRadar #Conservation

To cap an exciting string of visits in the United States, Marcel Verdonk Kristian Brost, Bob Moll and Jasper van Laanen recently opened our new and official U.S. office and also attended the prestigious IDGA Counter UAS Summit 2024! As well as planting a Robin flag in Ashburn, the team had the opportunity to connect with military, government representatives, industry partners, and academia in Arlington, VA. The event centred around the theme "Confronting the Threat of UAS from the Homeland to the Battlefield," provoking thought and fostering in-depth discussion on the latest advancements in Counter-UAS efforts. Marcel said: "We were thrilled to announce the opening of our new Robin Radar USA Inc. office in Ashburn, VA, during the IDGA event. Kristian and Bob delivered a powerful keynote on the "Evolution of CUAS Technology," which showcased how our latest Deep Neural Network (DNN) technology significantly reduces false alarms and enhances our IRIS radar's ability to classify drones from greater distances. "The team and I remain grateful for the opportunity to exchange ideas and expertise with such a diverse and knowledgeable audience. We all left feeling certain that exciting times are ahead!" #CounterUAS #Innovation #RadarTechnology #DefenseInnovation #RobinRadarSystems

This week Meije Kentson, Head of Technical Sales at Robin, and Pauline Roos, marine ecologist at Ecowende, had the pleasure of presenting the pioneering innovations that go hand in hand with the development of the most ecological wind farm in the world at The Hague & Partners’ partner event.
🌍🌱 Yesterday at the partner event, we had the pleasure of hearing from marine ecologist Pauline Roos from Ecowende and Meije Kentson from Robin Radar Systems. They told us about their game-changing innovation in protecting wildlife while harnessing wind power. Imagine this: a floating radar that protects birds and bats from colliding with the turbine blades of offshore wind farms. That’s exactly what The Hague-based Robin Radar Systems is delivering to wind farm developers worldwide, paving the way for more eco-friendly wind energy solutions. At the future EcoWende wind farm, located 53 km off the Dutch coast, Robin Radar’s technology will automatically slow down or shut off turbines when large flocks of birds are detected approaching. This system, combined with DHI’s alert system, cameras, sensors, and AI software, represents a significant leap forward in protecting wildlife while harnessing wind power. 💡 Curious to discover more? Read the story: https://lnkd.in/dZkEsniz We are proud of the innovators of The Hague working hand in hand to create a greener, safer world! #thisisthehague #windpower #ecofriendlytech

Recently the Robin Radar team, including Astrid van den Boogaardt, Javier Ortiz Vargas, Willem-Jan Derks, Kristian Brost, and Tom Nolan, attended the Bird Strike Committee USA 2024 event! ✈️ The gathering drew professionals across the board in wildlife & habitat management, with a focus on U.S. civil and military airports. It was great to meet with airport managers, military safety experts, wildlife specialists and USDA representatives, amongst many others. The event centred on the theme of "What is Due Diligence?" — a critical topic for everyone in our industry. Attendees received insightful presentations that explored the theme in depth, sparking discussion about best practices and emerging challenges. The social evening we hosted on the first night at the Prohibition Bar was a highlight for us. Friends, partners new and old, gathered there to catch up and connect. Thanks to everyone who stopped by! #AviationSafety #WildlifeManagement #BirdStrikePrevention #RobinRadarSystems AAAE
