We are excited to announce the establishment our VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd (VSMC) joint venture with Vanguard International Semiconductor Company after obtaining all necessary approvals from relevant authorities. The company will now proceed with the planned construction of VSMC’s first 300mm wafer manufacturing facility in Singapore slated to begin in the second half of 2024. A technology license and transfer agreement has been signed between TSMC and VSMC for the fab’s underlying process technologies. This is yet another historical milestone for NXP. The new VSMC fab aligns with our hybrid manufacturing strategy and helps ensure we have a manufacturing base which delivers competitive cost, supply control and geographic resilience to support our long-term growth objectives. As a founding partner of this vital event, NXP Eindhoven was proud to welcome high caliber students from across the world to our sites last week. In collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology, we worked to bring these bright minds together with industry leaders, insightful lectures, hands-on tours, panel discussions and thought-provoking projects in semiconductors. Students explored advanced analog design in CMOS and the future of radar in automotive systems, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical experience At NXP, we believe in the power of education and collaboration to drive innovation. Events like ESSS are crucial in building a strong pipeline of talent and reinforcing the unique semiconductor ecosystem of the Brainport region. We're excited about the relationships and knowledge that have been shared and look forward to welcoming some of these bright minds as our future colleagues. At our Austrian site, we're opening the door to new spaces and new use cases 🏢🎉 Recently, we celebrated the opening of our state-of-the-art R&D center, with sustainable design including modern offices and labs, setting the stage for continued innovation and growth. As part of this journey, we also took a meaningful step by giving our previous container building a new purpose. Instead of discarding it we donated the structure to the municipality of St. Radegund where the local school had been devastated by a storm. Now the building continues to serve the community providing students with a new learning environment. These projects are a powerful reminder of how sustainability and community care go hand in hand - creating a brighter future for both our planet and the people around us 🏫🌱 #WeAreNXP #BrighterTogether #Sustainable
