Joined forces in India! Screen and air technology combined the most efficient waste separation solution with the most profitable results for the customer. Nihot supplied a DRS disc screen for removing <80 mm from shredded MSW waste which is being used as RDF. The overs (80-300 mm) of the screen are the input to the SDX windshifter for removing inert material for the protection of the secondary shredder (reducing OPEX and down time) and creating RDF with a high calorific value. The BHS Debris Roll Screen® (DRS) meets our customers’ needs: premiere sizing tool at the lowest cost per ton. Being an accurate sizing tool, with patented solid steel Hardox equivalent triangular discs which are in-line from shaft-to-shaft, creating precise openings for highly accurate material sizing and an absolute minimum of potential wrapping. In being involved in the Brazilian market for many years with several installed Nihot windshifters, we now want to share our latest project. This time it concerns a Nihot SDX 1400 windshifter, integrated in a new RDF production line! We have installed the SDX windshifter for removing inert material from pre-shredded and screened C&I waste for the protection of the secondary shredder and creating RDF with a high calorific value. This significantly reduces the OPEX and down time of the cement production facility and allows for a continuous operation.   Nihot windshifters are characterized by using negative pressure (aspiration) to separate waste into a heavy and light fraction. The last few months we have installed several Nihot SDS windshifters in RDF production lines, mostly in Japan and South Korea. And now presenting the SDS in an RDF feeding line for a cement company in the United States! We have installed a Nihot SDS 1400 windshifter for removing heavy inert material from Mixed waste for the protection of the downstream feeding system and creating RDF with a high calorific value. This significantly reduces the OPEX and down time of the cement production facility and allows for a continuous operation. On both secondary shredders we have installed a dust filter (DF). Our DF filter is a dedicated filter for secondary shredders/granulators/balers and the perfect solution for dust extraction, which improves air quality and labour conditions. Our first SDi windshifter in Prince George, BC in Canada processing woody biomass residues!   We have recently supplied an SDi 800 windshifter for removing inert material for creating a clean woody biomass (light) fraction. This fraction is transformed into a bio-oil, ready to be upgraded into an ‘drop-in’ renewable fuel with a lower carbon footprint for industries such as aviation, trucking, and marine transportation.   The Nihot windshifters are characterized by using negative pressure (aspiration) to separate waste into a heavy and light fraction.
