📣🌠Nautilus shortlisted for prestigious Investors in People Awards 2024!🌠📣 Exciting news! Following on from Nautilus International's gold standard accreditation from human resources assessment body Investors in People (IIP), we are thrilled that we are now shortlisted for Best Purpose Driven People Community in The Investors in People Awards 2024! This nomination is a wonderful recognition for the Union's achievement of a global Gold accreditation from IIP - which means it is among an exclusive group of organisations which achieve that standard. Importantly the accreditation demonstrates that the Union has a clear commitment to the people who make up the organisation’s staff. It also means all three of the Union's national branches in the UK, Netherlands and Switzerland – as well as the charity Nautilus Welfare Fund – are now officially recognised for their high standards of people management and staff development. In this video our general secretary Mark Dickinson explains why we take part in the scheme: ▶️: https://lnkd.in/eTRMmRdm

🌎 Happy World Maritime Day! 🌎 This year’s theme, 'Navigating the Future: Safety First!', reflects the International Maritime Organization's dedication to enhancing maritime safety and security while protecting our marine environment. As we mark 50 years since the adoption of the 1974 SOLAS Convention, the IMO and Nautilus International continue to prioritise safety as we navigate the rapid pace of technological change, alternative fuels, and measures to reduce GHG emissions. Aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we're committed to a safer and more sustainable maritime industry that supports clean energy, innovation, and climate action. Let’s work together to make our seas a safer place for all!🌊 📹🔗Check out what IMO secretary-general Arsenio Dominguez has to say about the future of maritime safety on our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/evRrhtBS #WorldMaritimeDay 🌎⚓
