This year’s theme of collaboration truly resonated with everyone at the event. The day flew by with an impactful morning focused on knowledge-sharing, followed by an afternoon centered on hands-on collaboration across four workshop streams. One airport with huge ambition to stimulate the uptake of alternative fuels is Rotterdam The Hague Airport ✈   In 2023 it was chosen to carry out testing and demonstration for the storage and refuelling of liquid hydrogen fuel on the airside as part of the EU-funded TULIPS – Green Airports consortium.🌱   We provided technical and strategic advisory to help secure the foundational permitting that would make the project possible. The aim? 💚✈️ “It’s time to act.”   🌍 At last month’s International Air Transport Association (IATA) World Sustainability Symposium, our colleagues Marcelo L. Garcia and Vivekanandhan Sindhamani had the privilege of contributing to the ongoing conversation around 2050 net-zero industry targets, the role of government and policy, and the implementation of sustainability measures.   They participated as panelists and presenters in workshops around industry topics such as ESG reporting, hydrogen aviation, and the importance of climate risk for airline operations – all with the common goal of shaping a more sustainable future for aviation.   💡 Watch the video below to hear Vivek’s reflections from the event calling for all actors in the aviation ecosystem to take action. Our team has returned from ACI World - Airports Council International’s Customer Experience Summit and Exhibition in Atlanta buzzing with ideas and inspiration.💡 There was lively discussion, new connections and plenty of energy throughout the summit. Marije Teerling (PhD) and Adam Ekman Pedersen shared their immediate reflections: Marije Teerling (PhD): “It’s time to take a more strategic approach to Customer Experience. Operational improvements are important, but these should be the standard rather than the aspiration. To differentiate their customer experience, airports need to reflect on what makes their context unique and identify how they can best serve both key customers and meet bespoke needs. I saw plenty of appetite for this during my panel session, and in conversations at the summit, but I think the industry is just beginning to scratch the surface, there are exciting times ahead.” Adam Ekman Pedersen: “Following the years of crisis in the airport industry, there is now a clear and urgent need for airports to optimise and enhance the quality of their customer experience.
