We are proud to contribute to the CPBT (Centrum voor Proefdiervrije Biomedische Translatie). The new centre just launched its initial website. The CPBT aims to improve and accelerate the translation of new biomedical innovations to patients and users, with lower costs and without the use of animals. This will lead to safer, more effective, and better medicines while reducing animal testing. As a partner, Lygature provides program management and communication support to the CPBT, and will also contribute #regulatory expertise to the centre when it becomes fully operational. We are looking forward to working with the CPBT partners on the important mission of reducing animal testing. #biomedical #innovation #animalfree

🌟Project launch 🌟 Lygature is pleased to partner in the recently launched Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) IHI ILLUMINATE project which aims to demonstrate the unique value of metabolic #MRIs to improve effective application of #theranostics in #prostate cancer while increasing availability of #lutetium for #cancer treatment. Lygature was instrumental in the set-up phase of the ILLUMINATE consortium. In close collaboration with UMC Utrecht, Lygature coordinated and supported the application process for the project, followed by the contractual negotiations between partners. Setting up the ILLUMINATE project required extensive expertise in science, and #partnership management. Within ILLUMINATE, Lygature provides program management and communication support, and contributes its #regulatory expertise. Today is an important day for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as the United Nations General Assembly meets to accelerate political action on AMR. As Coordinator of the GNA NOW Consortium, a project under the AMR Accelerator, our colleague Kristina Orrling contributed to a paper published this week in Nature Reviews Drug Discovery calling for sustainable investment in AMR Research & Development, as profiled here by the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) 👇 Kristina notes: “Despite the high medical need, in AMR research the monetary incentives are low and the chance of return of investment infinitesimal. 🌍 Sustainable Funding: Key to Advancing Antimicrobial Resistance Research & Development 🦠 The threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) remains one of the most pressing challenges in global health. The GNA NOW Consortium, coordinated by Lygature and part of the AMR Accelerator, is leading the charge to develop novel Gram-negative antibacterials to tackle severe enteric infections caused by pathogens like Shigella, Campylobacter, E. coli, and Salmonella. But initiatives like GNA NOW and the AMR Accelerator can’t do it alone. They need sustained investment from governments, the private sector, and global stakeholders to ensure that R&D capacity remains strong and capable of delivering life-saving antibiotics.
