Earlier today, our panel of ocean experts took a deep dive into next year’s new carrier alliances and service networks. “This is the first time in decades we’ll see this level of diversity in different services,” said Lars Jensen, CEO and Partner at Vespucci Maritime. Notable players include the Gemini Cooperation, featuring a hub-and-spoke model, and MSC, largely focused on direct port pairs. “It’s going to be much more complicated to figure out which services are right for your business,” Lars added. “They’re [all] going to be vastly different—it’ll be about more than just price.” Watch the clip for more👇, and check out the full webinar on demand here: https://lnkd.in/ev65rsg7

🌊 Weekly Global Logistics Market Updates 🌊 🚢 Transpacific Eastbound trade lane: November is seeing a significant recovery in volumes following the post-Golden-Week lull. 🚢 Far-East Westbound trade lane: The first half of November’s GRI may settle around $4,400-4,500 per FEU, with carriers planning for a second-half-of-November GRI at approximately $5,400 per FEU. 🚢 Transatlantic Westbound trade lane: Demand in North Europe remains steady, with the typical seasonal peak ahead of the Christmas holidays. Carrier utilization levels are strong, keeping rate levels stable across most services. ✈️ Global air freight update: Despite a +4% WoW recovery in total Asia-Pacific-USA tonnages, China-USA tonnages remained down -18% YoY, partly due to tighter U.S. Customs checks.
