Schwab Foundation, World Economic Forum | Board Member, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer | Passionate about Social Innovation and Financing Impact
Less than 1% of global AI investments are dedicated to impact. We have high hopes that AI will address some of the most pressing issues of our time. However, only 0.41% of private sector investments are dedicated towards for-impact initiatives. That needs to change. Today, on the occasion of the UN General Assembly, we are publishing new insights into the capabilities of global social innovation ecosystems to roll out AI for impact together with our partners Microsoft and EY. Global ecosystems on AI for Impact continue to be under-resourced, especially in low- and middle-income countries. However, creating new programs is not enough—these initiatives provide the most value when tailored to communities' needs. Intermediaries are critical in making this possible. Read our report to learn about case studies such as Google.org's social innovation fund and collaborations with AVPN, Euclid Network (EN), INCO and others. Or Microsoft's Entrepreneurs for Positive Impact initiative, working with partners such as the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship. https://lnkd.in/eeFDAcTG Thanks to everyone making these insights possible: Claudio Sassaki, Anthony Virapin, Justin Spelhaug, Gillian Hinde, Laura Turkington, Emily Will, Doyin Omidiran, Yucca Reinecke, Jonathan Jackson, Njideka U.
