Such an insightful take on imposter syndrome! 🎭 We all wear masks at times, but the real growth begins when we start to take them. Thank you Anouk Vlietman for sharing! If you're navigating similar challenges, this is a must-read:
Coaching Future Women in Tech 🚀 - Facilitating Soft-Skill Expertise 🧠 - Growing @ Equals - Playful Development 🎨
Dealing with imposter syndrome is like attending a less sophisticated masquerade ball. 🎭 Films show grand, mysterious balls with elegant guests, while work often has social scenes where people unconsciously compare themselves. Just like at the ball, the real magic happens when masks come off and people share their truth. It's not just about overcoming imposter syndrome but about slowly letting go of the mask you wear and learning to live with who you are. Handle it as an individual, so you can handle it as a group. Yes, it remains a 🐔-and-🥚 story, but the only control you have is over your thoughts, actions, and reactions. Read the article for tips and tricks on how to do so. And if you crave more personal and professional development, different perspectives, and analogies—and we’re not connected yet—go ahead and send me a connection request! 😉

Why Changing the Game Means Changing the Goalposts Imagine this: You’ve got a team trained to play basketball, but now you want them to play football. If you don’t swap out the 🏀 basketball hoops for a 🥅 football net on the ground, they’ll keep playing the game they know best. The same logic applies to our work environments. 👉🏾 If we want people to embrace a culture of psychological safety and inclusion, we need to change the “goalposts” that define success. 👉🏾 This means redefining attitudes, behaviors, and, crucially, the way we hold ourselves accountable. At the Diverse Leaders in Tech, powered by Techleap Community Meetup on August 29th Ingrid Tappin 🏳️🌈 Bogdan Manta , and I will be diving deep into how we can reshape these goals to truly create safe havens in our workplaces. Co-hosted by Equals .
