Met trots kondigen we aan dat DronePort Rotterdam dit jaar deelneemt aan de 𝙒𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙙𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙣, 𝙫𝙖𝙣 6 𝙩𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙚𝙩 8 𝙨𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧! Als Rotterdams initiatief zijn we verheugd om naast zoveel andere baanbrekende innovaties te staan (van onder andere Platform Zero) op het Innovatieplein, gelegen aan de Holland Amerikakade met een adembenemend uitzicht op de iconische Erasmusbrug en de overvolle kades aan de kant van het centrum. Samen met het droneteam van de Gemeente Rotterdam en DDC - Smart Inspections zorgen we voor drie dagen vol inspiratie, waar technologie en innovatie hand in hand gaan met de rijke maritieme traditie van onze havenstad. 𝙒𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙞𝙟 𝙙𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙? Tijdens de Wereldhavendagen kunnen bezoekers bij onze stand alles leren over de rol van drones in de haven en de stad Rotterdam. Dit is dé kans om te ontdekken hoe deze technologieën bijdragen aan de 'Haven van de Toekomst'. Er zijn diverse activiteiten en demonstraties die een compleet beeld geven van hoe drones nu worden ingezet en wat hun toekomstmogelijkheden zijn. 𝙒𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙚 𝙯𝙞𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙞𝙟 𝙙𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙? Samen werken we aan #RotterdamInnovationCapital Gisteren hadden Arthur Dallau en Lisa van der Heijden het voorrecht om op uitnodiging van de Gemeente Rotterdam, met bijzondere dank aan de geweldige Josefina Nonell Lopez, het North Sea Jazz festival te bezoeken. Tijdens dit indrukwekkende evenement hebben we waardevolle gesprekken gevoerd met onder andere de altijd toegankelijke en inspirerende Vivienne de Leeuw, CFO van Port of Rotterdam en Voorzitter van de Raad van Toezicht van Rotterdam Festivals, Arne Weverling, de kersverse gedeputeerde van de Provincie Zuid-Holland. Met Arne zullen we samen het 'luchtvaartdossier' in relatie tot DronePort Rotterdam verder vormgeven en versnellen! Daarnaast hebben we wethouder Robert Simons van de gemeente Rotterdam, met 'havenbloed', van harte uitgenodigd om eens langs te komen en alle innovaties te bekijken op het gebied van autonome en onbemande intelligente systemen in de grootse haven van Europa en natuurlijk de stad te vertegenwoordigen tijdens #DroneHorizon2024! Ook kwamen we oude bekenden tegen die al jaren het verschil maken in en ver buiten de stad, zoals Mare Straetmans van Platform Zero en Arnold van de Water van onder andere het Katoenhuis Rotterdam en Concrete Culture. Mensen maken de stad en de regio, en dat werd bevestigd door de verlenging van de aanwezigheid van het North Sea Jazz festival in onze stad voor de komende 7 jaar.
