Only 10% of plastic waste gets recycled globally. We cannot keep up. To put this into perspective, even if 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 would start recycling today, there would still be a ‘plastic overshoot day’. This is when the amount of plastic waste generated surpasses the capability of waste management systems to effectively manage it. This year, it was on September 5th globally, not even three-quarters of the way through the year. We 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 recycle our way out of this. But we can make a change. Fight with us and end packaged water. Other campaign partners are Ville de Paris, Eau de Paris, and Culture Nuit. 🪩 The Bye Bye Plastic Foundation is founded by Vivie-Ann Bakos and Camille Guitteau, who are disrupting the music industry by removing single-use plastics from clubs and festivals. The goal of the campaign is to empower club-goers to bring their own reusable bottles, reduce plastic waste, and shape a more sustainable future for nightlife. 💧Tap water at clubs and festivals: Join us at #ADEGreen2024 ! 🌍 Celebrating ADE Green's 10 year anniversary by showing that switching from offering packaged water to tap water at festivals & clubs can be done. We will host a panel on this topic moderated by Greg Cochrane: our speakers Esther Koshari (Paradise City Festival), Eefje Arts (Dekmantel), and Camille Guitteau (Bye Bye Plastic Foundation) will plunge into the concerns and successes of prioritising tap water at clubs and festivals.
