Acties.nl is a website where consumers can find the most comprehensive selection of discount codes and promotions for Dutch (and international) online shops. Our site features over 1,000 stores with thousands of offers. Consumers search for discounts on Google and then discover our offerings. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆? For us, Black Friday is THE peak of the year. In short, it’s a huge challenge for our entire team. We literally work full-time at the office around Black Friday, even in the evenings. The volume of promotions and placements on our site during those days is enormous. Furthermore, the biggest challenge is the intense competition. We have a limited number of placements available on our site, which we need to manage well to ensure each store receives the attention it deserves. That’s why we always start discussing Black Friday internally and with our advertisers in July/August. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆? Every year, we develop special packages for Black Friday. We start discussing these with our advertisers in July and August. For quick decision-makers, we offer some extra discounts so we can start planning and reserving placements early. During the days surrounding Black Friday itself, there is very frequent and intensive contact with advertisers and affiliate partners. Communication between us and our partners reaches an absolute peak during this time. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀? The main insight is the obvious growth of this phenomenon. It has become a moment that consumers look forward to, leading to significant orders during those days. The conversion rate on our website is already high, but it increases even more then. We also notice a kind of "calm before the storm" in the weeks leading up to Black Friday.
