There is a groundswell calling for change - led by mission-driven frontrunners - ready to pioneer a new moral compass. 🧭 We believe that “creativity for good” can only exist alongside a commitment to divest from working with big polluters, starting with fossil fuel clients. However, as Tom Tapper, Co-Founder & CEO Nice and Serious mentions, that turning down a brief from a polluting client by saying 'no' can feel terrifying. But, by acting together, as a collective we can turn that fear, into an incredibly powerful force for positive action. 🤝 We can supercharge each others efforts, and work to create an undercurrent of new leadership rising up to challenge the status quo, pioneering a new future both for the industry, and the world. 🌎 Join us on November 14th, to learn about the next phase of Creatives for Climate as we build a movement of learners and leaders using their creativity to scale climate solutions. Welcome to the Ethical Agency Alliance Hey Honey 🎉We’re so excited you’re here! The Ethical Agency Alliance represents a growing movement of agency frontrunners committing their creativity to climate action. 🤝 Meet Céline Boubekri, Client Partnerships Director & Board Member of Hey Honey, who believes that for the creative industry to become a true force for good, agencies and creatives need to understand two key things: 1️⃣ the power of creativity to drive positive change in behavior, and 2️⃣ the individual and collective influence they have to advise, consult, and guide clients in making the right decisions for the planet. Hear from Céline about what creativity for good looks like and why Hey Honey decided to join the Alliance. Keen to join? Get in touch! A new InfluenceMap report reveals that the clients of the Big Six PR and advertising holding companies (except Havas) have MORE clients in their database that are obstructing the goals of the Paris Agreement than those actively supporting it. One of the reasons we are building an alliance of ethical agencies, is to support clients that have made climate goals to actually hire and support agencies that won't jeopardise their reputation. Dentsu, Havas, IPG, Publicis, Omnicom, and WPP - we're looking at you 👀 Take a look, read the report and join the conversation 👇

Activating creativity for climate solutions I Founder & CEO of Creatives for Climate I University of Auckland 40 Under 40
Here's the good and the bad news folks 👇 Bad news: There's no business as usual anymore; our education systems are preparing us for a world that no longer exists, and the function of our careers to serve an economy that's in service to profit is throwing our natural ecosystems into turmoil. And our lives are all in danger. Good news: There's no business as usual anymore; our education systems can be redesigned to equip a new workforce with green skills, and the function of our careers can build an economy in service to life. And we might have a chance to reduce the worst effects of a warming climate, and also create more meaningful ways to live our lives. This week I was in London with my team for the incredible launch of the 'Professional Service Providers Report' by High-Level Climate Champions (more on that soon), and to hear from inspiring leaders such as Laura Clarke OBE, Andrew Griffiths, Alexis McGivern, Jonathan Wise. The future both terrifies AND excites me and I cannot wait to share with you the next steps of Creatives for Climate Collective and how we are building pathways for creative professionals, and businesses, to lead this new economy, and thrive. Below, a snap from the meet-up of creative frontrunners we held the day after as we collectively plotted our next steps forward. These folks give me hope! More, coming, soon! Imagine a world where the creative industries drive climate solutions. 🧠 This is what we're building. We know there is a widening capability gap emerging for marketing professionals, as the knowledge gap of sustainability topics has increased within the industry, cited by 35% in 2023, compared to 20% in 2021. Our recent Greenwash Watch cohort tackled this issue head on, by learning how to build credible marketing strategies that scale solutions that don't greenwash. All participants increased their confidence to communicate sustainability marketing effectively. Build your confidence and skills in anti-greenwashing. If you missed this cohort, you can still learn on demand: https://lnkd.in/div34Aek #GreenwashWatch #Education #Sustainability #Marketing
