The past few years we have been on a great sustainability journey with a lot of highlights and we are on our way to Net Zero. 🚀 Above all, tackling climate issues involves more than just reducing carbon emissions. That's why we're doing a lot to become an even more sustainable business. For instance: - Our production site runs on 100% green energy 🌿 - We buy directly from growers to guarantee freshness and minimize waste 🌻 - We test flowers for banned plant protection products 🐝 - Our organic bouquet is certified organic 💐 But our commitment goes beyond emission reduction alone, and this is what our CEO Aron Gelbard and Director of Sustainability Sibbe Krol spoke to Het Financieele Dagblad about. As we wrap up another season of our 100% organic bouquet, here are 5 things we have learned in 5 years with 100% organic flowers 🍃

A huge welcome to our new Chief Financial Officer, Dominique Highfield, who joins the Bloom and Wild Group! Dominique joins at an exciting time for the company, as we accelerate our ambitious plans to become a leading gifting destination across Europe with our range of flowers, plants and new gifting categories. Hiring a CFO is an important step in this journey. And Dominique brings experience from executive level finance and operational management roles with leading technology and consumer facing businesses including Amazon, Purplebricks, Sainsburys and Pentland Brands. Welcome Dominique!

Each summer, we proudly offer our 100% organic bouquet—now for the fifth year in a row! But did you know that we also incorporate organic stems in many of our other bouquets whenever possible? Organic floriculture currently makes up less than 0.5% of the industry. By choosing organic flowers, we aim to support and encourage the growth of sustainable flower farming. 🌿
