    We tend to take our most basic needs for granted: food, water, air, and of course—shelter. The People for People Foundation, started by our co-founder, Robert Vis, has been providing aid for refugees since 2022. Last year, the People for People Foundation responded to devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Morocco. A year later, many are still living in those shelters—which were supposed to be temporary. That’s why the People for People team launched modular shelters that provide sustainable long-term housing. They can be assembled in just hours to provide immediate relief for those in need.     When people ask us which is the best channel, we say: All of ‘em. As in, whichever channels your customers are on, that’s where you should be. We also get that the channels that perform best look a little different for everyone. If you have a large subscriber  list, email is probably where it’s at. If your audience is international, WhatsApp might work wonders. We ran a poll last year asking people which channel is most effective for them. Our big three—SMS, email, and WhatsApp—all got lots of votes. But WhatsApp clearly won out. So we’re wondering: Which channel is working best for you in 2024?

    Why do we offer a 90% discount on SMS compared to our biggest competitor? We didn’t make this decision because we wanted to crush the competition. (That’s just a side effect.) We did it because we wanted to serve our customers better. Most messaging companies have non-transparent pricing models. They charge artificially high markups, passing the cost on to their customers and pocketing the profit. We don’t think that’s fair. *That* is why we made this change.
