About us

YTOP Global (an acronym for Young, Talented, Optimistic, and full of Potential) is a youth-led non-governmental organization passionate about developing the competence of youths to make a sustainable impact geared towards SDG solutions. She registered as a corporate body under the Corporate Affairs Commission as YTOP YOUTH EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION with the Registration Code: RC179444. She operates in about 16 institutions, with its base at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. As an organization, we believe everyone has talents and is filled with potential. Goals will be easily achieved if given a platform to learn, share, collaborate, and explore. The organization was founded in 2015 by Ekundayo Oluwadamilare to influence teenagers and youths positively, enhance self- and purpose-discovery, and channel discovered abilities into proper and efficient use. Our vision from the onset has been to have a global community of great minds who see beyond the challenges around them and collaborate to create effective change toward ensuring the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. We create platforms where young people can access equal skill opportunities through quality engagement in self-discovery, personal and professional development, skill acquisition, and collaboration to develop sustainable solutions in their communities. It's never too late to celebrate a victory! Happy 33rd anniversary, Osun State! To every organisation is a story, To every story is a journey, For YTOP Global, this marks a significant milestone as the birthplace of our organization. In 2017, we began with just two people at Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun State. Since then, we've committed to empowering young individuals and undergraduates, nurturing the next generation of changemakers. Our gallery shows every individual amongst thousands, who has been a part of our community of changemakers whom have been empowered via our #communitydevelopment initiatives, #personaldevelopment and #capacity building session, #careerdevelopment, #fundraising projects , volunteering programs and mentorship network. Here’s is a summary and progress report of how the past one week at YTOP Global , ROW 6.0 has been. It’s been enlightening, full of intentional decision making and implementation. We’ve had 2 amazing sessions, session one on personal development and discovery by EKUNDAYO Oluwadamilare PMP®, mMBA and session two was on Effective Communication by Ayomide Adekola. Here are some of the things I learnt: - If the world doesn’t need you, then heaven will not release you. - What you’re passionate about, is what you go hungry for. - To turn your potential to become an influential person, it requires intentionality. - I also learnt the different strategies to improve my communication skill. - The importance of competency development as well as the - various elements of effective communication and communication codes. However, I also earned 2 certificates from YALI Africa by taking two of their courses as well. I learnt about the importance of ethical considerations when you’re leading and managing a team, how to improve your network, the art of public speaking as well as setting and achieving goals and lastly, designing and delivering training. I look forward to a more engaging week two. If you’re engaging my post for the first time, I am Omotola Omotosho. A creative graphic designer and food scientist. Empowering Lives Through Inclusivity: The KOLEDA Project Success | Start Up Support Needed. Since 2023, I have developed a deep interest for supporting people with disabilities (PWDs) in my community. Witnessing their exclusion and undervaluation in opportunities they were qualified for was a turning point for me. This realization drove me to take action and make it a team project to advocate for inclusivity. Every action counts when it comes to building a better world. Sometimes, we can change the world for one person by simply prioritizing their livelihood. I am thrilled to celebrate the success of the KOLEDA Project by the YALI Network Osun Team. This initiative perfectly demonstrates the power of collaboration, where supporting one another helps us all achieve our goals. On behalf of YTOP Global, I want to express our joy in supporting this initiative and contributing to its success under the outstanding leadership of Osato Omo-Osemwingie. People with disabilities face numerous challenges in accessing education, employment, and other opportunities, leading to social and economic marginalization. The YALI Network Osun Hub recognizes the need to promote inclusivity and empowerment for PWDs in Osogbo. Through hands-on training in various skills—such as shoemaking, Adire/Batik making, tailoring, hairdressing, makeup, Auto-gele and Gele tying, and graphics design—we have aimed to: 1. Enhance the skillsets and capabilities of participants in their chosen vocational areas. 2. Increase confidence and self-esteem among participants. 3. Improve employment opportunities and economic empowerment for PWDs. 4. Foster social inclusion and community integration for all participants. 5. Establish a sustainable support system for ongoing mentorship and networking opportunities beyond the program duration. I am incredibly proud to announce that we have successfully met these goals and celebrated the graduation of 100 empowered leaders who are now equipped to shape a brighter future. This is more than just a milestone; it's a testament to what we can achieve when we come together with purpose and passion. The journey doesn't end here—let's continue to inspire, support, and create opportunities for all. Together, we are making a difference, one step at a time.
