Yesterday, the Africa Space Foundation (ASF) hosted its World Space Week event in collaboration with NIGCOMSAT Limited. Students from 6 secondary schools participated in the event which included a Space Hackathon and micro-project innovations where they worked on a group project with the prospect of addressing problems in the society. Among the participating schools were: 1. STEM Child Care Academy 2. Police Day Secondary School, Abuja 3. DIVINE LOVE COLLEGE KUCHIKAU Managing Director of NIGCOMSAT, Jane Egerton-Idehen, was present at the event. She spoke to the young people about the need for them to leverage on space science to become change agents. She also presented prizes to the winners.
