🌟Stakeholders' Engagement on Digital Financial Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) 🤝In partnership with Consumers International, we are proud to have hosted a significant conversation on the importance of digital financial inclusion for PwDs. 📢Speakers and participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions on the highlighted real-world barriers for PwDs in accessing financial services. ⚠️Key points raised included the need for more accessible financial platforms, changes in the structure of the banking facilities, improves digital literacy, coordination within the disability community, the need for a universal design and strong collaborations between private and public institutions. Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation (CADEF) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment, protection, emancipation, and enlightenment of consumers in Nigeria. Our pursuit is to increase awareness and defend consumer rights, through rigorous research and policy analysis on key consumer issues, advocacy, education, and legal representation. This initiative was born from the need to increase the level of awareness of the consumers on standardization of goods and services, enforcement and litigation, and the desire to act as an incubator that promotes entrepreneurship amongst the youth.

In light of the recent surge in the price of food items in Nigeria, Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation (CADEF) in partnership with Consumers International has launched a four-month project. The purpose of this project is to examine the causes and impact of unfair food pricing on the Nigerian economy and living standard of the people as well as proffer solutions to tackle this food crisis. The implementation of this project will utilize data provided in real-time by a price monitoring index tool developed by Consumer International. First phase of digital financial literacy training (Hearing Impaired)✅ On 20th August 2024, Consumer Advocacy and Empowerment Foundation successfully conducted the first phase of Digital Financial Literacy Training tailored specifically for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Held at RCCG (My Father's House), this event was a significant step to promoting #financialinclusion and #empowerment for a segment of the population often underserved in financial education programs.
