Ditton - medina road - kitten spotted My daughter was out on her bike and saw a tiny tiny black and white kitten She said there was no way it was suppose to be out yet so she thinks it’s got out Coming up new road and just before the left hand Medina turning there are some bushes and that where it came running out of scared and dirty. She tried to engage with it but it got scared and run back into the bushes I really hope whoever it belongs to has it home safely now 😭

Editing this post - my cat is home but I mean he keeps not coming back for days at a time 😩 if anyone sees my lovely cat (Gorse Crescent )please please do not feed him or let him in your home as he keeps not coming home which is very upsetting as we love him dearly. He eats a lot so don’t be fooled that he looks hungry as he is not and if he is at all hungry then he will then come home to us for dinner. My daughter adores him and is so upset as our cats help her mental health too. Also the little cat is without his big brother when he doesn’t come home! Thank you so much X

In North Shields this week we have started ground investigation works after a report of possible mining related damage to two homes. Due to access issues it was necessary to use a crane to deliver a drilling rig to the back garden of one of the properties so that ground samples can be taken and examined to see if the cause of the damage is due to historical mining in the area. We have also installed monitoring equipment at the properties to provide reassurance to the residents. We would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding whilst the drilling rig was being delivered.
