Carson Block Sued Over $14 Million SEC Whistle-Blower Award (1)

Short seller <-bsp-person state="{"_id":"00000182-3c82-d86a-a9d7-3ee3890d0000","_type":"00000160-6f41-dae1-adf0-6ff519590003"}">Carson Block was sued for allegedly failing to share a $14 million whistle-blower award he received from the US Securities and Exchange Commission for exposing an ongoing fraud.

<-bsp-person state="{"_id":"00000182-3c82-d86a-a9d7-3ee3890f0000","_type":"00000160-6f41-dae1-adf0-6ff519590003"}">Kevin Barnes said in a lawsuit filed Tuesday in New York state court that he co-authored the report that netted Block and his firm <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbHref":"bbg://securities/9170707Z%20US%20Equity","_id":"00000182-3c82-d86a-a9d7-3ee389100000","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">Muddy Waters LLC the March 2022 award. Barnes accused Block of breach of partnership and is seeking half of the amount.
