Zach attended Desert Vista High School, and during his time there competed in track as well as playing football. In 2004 he played in the US Army All-American Bowl which included some of the best high school football players in the country. He was also a three-year letterman in track and field, setting the school discus record, and also won the shot putt regional competition.

After matriculating, he attended Arizona State University and played for the Sun Devils football team for three seasons – during his final season, he was named a finalist for the John Mackey Award, along with several other honors.

Miller was expected to be a first round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, but a poor performance during the combine led to him being picked in the second round by the Oakland Raiders. He then started to perform well with the Raiders’ running game, finishing his rookie year with good statistics. For most of his seasons with the Raiders, he led the team in receiving and achieved a career high five touchdowns. He also reached the third spot of his Raiders career receiving list for tight ends.

After his run with the Raiders, in 2011 he then signed with the Seattle Seahawks in a five year deal worth $34 million, which increased his net worth significantly. He played well for the team and performed more as a blocking tight end. In 2011, he was named to the Pro Bowl after Antonio Gates had to withdraw due to injury. During the 2012 to 2013 playoffs, Miller became the leading receiver for the Seahawks, however, they lost against the Atlanta Falcons. The following season, he would help the team reach Super Bowl XLVIII in which they would defeat the Denver Broncos, earning him his first super bowl ring. In the next season, he suffered an ankle injury which led to him spending most of his time on the injured list. He had ankle surgery, and was then released from the team after he failed the physical exam.

For his personal life, not much is known about Zach’s romantic relationships. He has stayed quiet since being released from the NFL. He isn’t very active on social media and has not opened any online accounts. He has not returned to pursue any work related to professional football.
