Meg is a novelist and actress, best known for being part of the film “Agnes of God” which got her an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe Award. She studied on a scholarship in New York City, and then joined the Connecticut Ballet Company. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, making her debut a year later in the drama “The Trouble with Grandpa”. She then made an appearance in the second season of “Hill Street Blues” before getting her first starring role in “Tex” which stars Matt Dillon. In 1983, she continued her rise to prominence with the films “Psycho II” and “The Big Chill” which got several Academy Award nominations. Her net worth was starting to rise at this point.

In 1985, she was cast in the film “Agnes of God” which earned her a Golden Globe Award. In the late 1980s, she appeared in “Valmont” and “The Two Jakes”. In 1993, she starred in the horror film “Body Snatchers”, but would then stop acting for the next 15 years after sustaining an injury while playing soccer. In 2013, she released her fifth novel entitled “A Taste of Heaven” which had a very different theme compared to Tilly’s previous books, tackling friendship, family, and other issues. The book would win several awards including the 2014/2015 Chocolate Lilly Award. One of her latest writings is the novel, “Behind the Scenes” published in 2014.

For her personal life, it is known that Meg married Tim Zinnemann in 1983 and they had two children, but the marriage ended in 1989. She then had a relationship with actor Colin Firth which lasted for five years, and they had a son. In 1995, she married studio executive John Calley but their marriage also ended in divorce, in 2002. In the same year she married author Don Calame, and they currently reside in Toronto.
