Oregon State Gymnast, Jade Carey, is headed to her second Olympics.

The Tokyo gold medalist had some tough competition at the U.S. Gymnastics Trials this past weekend in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center, but landed a spot on Team USA.

"This is the most stressful meet I've ever been a part of in my life," laughed Carey.

Carey came into day two of the Trials in fourth place all around.

She started with a 14.675 on vault. Then on the bars Carey had a bit of a rhythm break but stuck the landing for a score of 13.075. On beam, another great landing for a 13.625. And the final rotation of the night, Carey steps out of bounds, but is still awarded a 55.525.

With that, Carey officially got her spot on team USA with a final score of 111.35.

Surprisingly, this was not the biggest stage Carey has competed on with this being her second trip to the Olympics.

"Just those past experiences really helped me," said Carey referring to her last Olympics experience. "They reminded me why I'm doing this sport and where I want to go."

"I couldn't do it without my family, my coaches, my friends, even these ladies right here. So, I'm ready to rock it in Paris with them."

Carey will represent team USA at the Paris Olympics alongside Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera.
