TalentCorp, in collaboration with the Department of Labour, Ministry of Human Resources (JTK), the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), InvestPenang, and the The Free Industrial Zone, Penang Companies' Association (FREPENCA) successfully organised the Work-Life Sustainability Workshop, recently. This event focused on the implementation and guidelines for Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA). YB Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar, Deputy Chairman of TalentCorp, highlighted FWA as a critical strategy to enhance work-life balance, support business continuity, and retain talent in today’s rapidly changing workforce. He also shared insights into Budget 2025 initiatives aimed at strengthening flexible work policies nationwide. Key tax incentives presented included: - 50% additional tax deduction for employers implementing FWA, covering costs related to capacity building and software acquisition. - 50% additional tax deduction on employment expenses for 12 months when hiring women returning to work through the Career Comeback Programme. - 50% tax deduction for employers providing up to 12 months of paid caregiving leave for employees caring for children, sick family members, or those with disabilities. Participants from various sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, gained valuable insights into the benefits of FWA for both employers and employees. These advantages include improved job satisfaction, increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, and enhanced talent retention. For businesses, FWA supports the development of a resilient, adaptable workforce, ensuring operational continuity even in challenging circumstances. Additionally, FWA fosters inclusivity by attracting a wider pool of talent while reducing overhead costs such as office space and utilities. Menteri Sumber Manusia, YB Steven Sim Chee Keong telah mengadakan lawatan kerja ke Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) Kangar, Perlis bagi merasmikan dua program iaitu Pelaksanaan Veteran MyWIRA oleh TalentCorp dan Pelaksanaan Program Pembangunan Bakat Peringkat Negeri Perlis yang diperkenalkan oleh HRD Corp - Human Resource Development Corporation dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemahiran dan peluang pekerjaan dalam kalangan rakyat negeri Perlis. Melalui inisiatif Veteran MyWIRA, anggota veteran Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) akan diberi peluang untuk meningkatkan kemahiran mereka selaras dengan permintaan pasaran pekerjaan dan peralihan ke sektor swasta. Inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kekuatan kepada veteran dalam membuat sumbangan besar kepada ekonomi negara, sekaligus meningkatkan peluang pekerjaan dan kualiti hidup mereka secara keseluruhan. Pendekatan yang diambil oleh YB Menteri KESUMA dengan prinsip ‘tiada sesiapa yang tertinggal’ atau ‘No One Left Behind’.
