Hi Linkers! This is my first time posting on Linkedin. I wanted to share a bit about my experience interning at RHB Bank over the past two months. Walking into the bank on my first day was both exciting and a little nerve-wracking. Everything was so new, from the systems to the banking jargon. But thanks to an awesome and welcoming team and also to my lovely colleague Farah Azhar that makes me feels more enjoyable on my internship and a well-organized onboarding process, I quickly found my footing. I realized just how important it is to pay attention to details in this industry and started gaining some solid knowledge about how things work in the financial world. By the second month, I was feeling much more comfortable and began taking on more responsibilities. It was great to work on real projects and team up with some very experienced professionals. The mentorship and guidance I received were amazing, helping me grow in ways I hadn’t expected. For me "The only limit to our realization of tomorrow is our doubts of today.” Which is believe in your potential, and the future will hold limitless possibilities. I’m really grateful for the chance to be part of RHB Bank and can’t wait to see what the next months have in store. Excited to keep learning and contributing! What is the foundation of every successful team? Teams need to collaborate in order to be successful, and good collaboration is built on good team communication. Having inadequate communication in teams can be detrimental to the team's productivity and may even result in unwanted conflicts. Yet, communication is often overlooked in organisations, with many assuming that good communication would develop naturally in a team without any concerted effort. Such was experienced by a group of 100 leaders from RHB Banking Group during a recent session with our Blueprint simulation conducted by our friends at Thriving Talents. While the teams may have struggled at first, with each passing round of gameplay, each team was able to form and refine their own internal communication strategies, resulting in better outcomes in the simulation. With good communication, a team can easily avoid misunderstandings, work more efficiently, solve problems more effectively, and build a positive work environment. The 2x2 matrix shared by Ujwal Kayande is helpful to think about tasks that we want #GenAI to help us with at work - definitely not tasks that requires high intellect & tasks that are high risk! In addition, recent study by Harvard University & Boston Consulting Group (BCG) shared that BCG consultants using AI completed 12.2% more tasks while doing it 25.1% faster. They also produced over 40% higher quality results compared to those not using AI. Despite these productivity gains, the study found a significant increase in errors when tasks fell outside the AI enhancement (e.g solving business problems). Consultants using AI were 19% points more likely to produce incorrect solutions in such scenarios.
