Thickness Gauge Improves Quality and Productivity in Battery Manufacturing : The Battery Web Gauge ES-5 is a system for monitoring and controlling the quality of thickness in the electrode manufacturing of rechargeable batteries such as lithium-ion batteries. This is the successor to the previous model WEBFREX3ES, which has been supporting battery manufacturing sites since 2010. It inherits and evolves the features of the previous model, and adds new value in contributing to reducing CO2 emissions and improving productivity. As countries around the world promote carbon neutrality and electrification of mobility, rechargeable batteries are attracting great attention. The ES-5 with completely renewed hardware and software, will solve new challenges such as reducing CO2 emissions from battery production and improving productivity in response to the rapidly increasing demand for batteries.
