Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, 24, sets a new top time, during the U.S. Olympics trials women’s 400 meter hurdles race, at 53.07 seconds on Thursday.

The 2024 U.S. Olympic track and field trials resumed at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, following two rest days for the competitors, USA Today reported on Thursday.

Levrone, of New Brunswick, who is a two-time Olympic gold medalists, finished in first place during the women’s 400m hurdles race 1.64-seconds faster than Anna Cockrell, who had the second-fastest time of the heat, NBC Sports reported.

The trials will continue through Sunday evening, June 30, when the last events are held, and the final Olympic berths will be determined for the 2024 Paris Summer Games. Each day at least one final will be contested, but there will also be compelling heat races and semifinals in some marquee events, USA Today reported.

Some huge stars are also set to hit the track for the first time at the 2024 Trials, including Tokyo medalists Levrone, Rai Benjamin and Keni Harrison. And America’s fastest man and woman – Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson – return to the track as each tries to qualify for a second individual event in Paris, USA Today reported.

Levrone opted out of the 400 meter race during this Olympic quad, due to a knee injury she sustained last season, which knocked her out of the World Championships in 2023, Olympics.com reported on Tuesday.

But, if there are any lingering impacts of that injury she has not shown them on the competitive track, nearly breaking Sanya Richards-Ross’ 400m American record in her most recent outing, the NYC Grand Prix on June 9, clocking a 48.75, Olympics.com reported.

Levrone will be back on the track to compete in the semifinals of the women’s 400-meter hurdle, on Sunday, June 30, USA Today reported.

The first event starts at 5:50 p.m. ET, which will be the men’s hammer throw final. The finals scheduled: Men’s hammer throw, women’s pole vault, men’s high jump, men’s triple jump, women’s javelin, men’s 5,000 meters, men’s 800 meters, women’s 100-meter hurdles; women’s 1,500 meters, men’s 400-meter hurdles, and women’s 400-meter hurdles.

Viewers can watch the trials at 7:30-8:30 p.m. ET on NBC or for free on Fubo. The trials can also be watched live on Peacock from 5:50-8:30 p.m. ET.
