moreThis research aims to explain, in general terms, contribution of the floating exhibition to the formation of the exhibition tradition and to reveal the works exhibited mainly in the branch of Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi and which artists they belong to. In the literature review of the research, no study was encountered in the field of art history related to the subject. It was observed that the current sources are limited with the assessments of the chroniclers. On the other hand art historian Celal Esad Arseven’s source, only reflects the impressions about the journey of the boat, it does not provide information on the content of the exhibition. Photographs and various documents were found as the primary source for the exhibition. Through these documents, it will be the primary objective of the research to stabilize the works in Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi’s branch.
