Jake Paul is stoking up the fire by mocking Mike Tyson for pushing him at a press conference ahead of their boxing fight later this year.
The pair came face to face in New York yesterday to promote their controversial rescheduled bout which is set to go ahead at Texas’s AT&T Stadium on November 15.
Former world heavyweight champion Tyson, who is 31 years older than his YouTuber-turned-fighter opponent, pushed Paul multiple times on stage in front of a raucous crowd.
Paul returned a push of his own but was spotted afterwards making fun of Tyson’s attempts to spice things up before they clash in the ring.
The 27-year-old was filmed appearing to mimic Tyson’s pushes and dancing around while making high pitched noises.
He can be seen jokingly pushing a friend weakly, seemingly suggesting that Tyson’s earlier shoves on him were lacking in strength.
A short clip was shared on X by @betr with the caption: ‘Jake Paul’s impression of Mike Tyson pushing him…’
Their fight was originally set to go ahead on July 20 but was rearranged after Tyson, 58, suffered an ulcer flare-up while boarding a flight to Los Angeles in May.
During the conference, Paul also mocked Tyson for the health scare which forced the fight to be postponed.
‘You had to go on your little menopause break and postpone the fight,’ he said.
‘I was ready before you needed a little break. Does your tummy hurt? Your tummy hurt still?’
However, Tyson has insisted he is ‘ready’ for the fight – and when questioned as to why he was going ahead with it, he said: ‘Because I can.
‘Who else can do it but me? Who else is he going to fight to make this happen?’
Tyson, who was cheered by the crowds who booed Paul, added: ‘We’ve just got to listen to the facts. We’ve got a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter that ever lived.’
Paul was heard shouting to the jeering fans and VIPs: ‘F*** you, New York. You’re just like Mike Tyson, you were good 20 years ago.’
The Baddest Man On The Planet was the undisputed heavyweight champion from 1987 until 1990 and finished with a record of 50-6, including 44 KOs.
Paul, who has won 10 of his 11 fights with 7 KOs, even ridiculously claimed the doubts he’s faced since taking up boxing make him the modern-day Muhammad Ali.
He added: ‘I’m the anti-hero, people will love me soon enough. When you’re at the top, people are clawing to pull you down. That’s the way game goes.’
The bout will air live on Netflix’s YouTube channel on Friday, November 15.
