Cole Palmer is working hard straight after Euro 2024 to try and be as ready as possible for Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League campaign.

The 22-year-old may not have got much time on the pitch in Germany, but he was still one of the stars of England’s campaign, which saw them beaten in Sunday’s final against Spain in Berlin.

The Chelsea star came off the bench in the semi-final and assisted Ollie Watkins’ winning goal against Netherlands at the death.

He then came on as a substitute again in the final and scored a superb equaliser for the Three Lions in the second half, before they eventually succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to the Spaniards.

It was a painful end to the competition for the England squad and they are not heading straight back to their clubs as they take some time off after the tournament, but Palmer is far from chilling out.

Personal trainer Nathan Palmer posted a picture of Cole lifting weights in the gym, with the caption: ‘@colepalmer10 straight back to it.’

Palmer is expected to be a key player for Chelsea again this season after a stunning debut season with the Blues.

After a move from Manchester City last summer, the forward proved to be an incredible signing, netting 22 times in the Premier League and scoring 25 in all competitions.

Chelsea have new manager Enzo Maresca now at the helm and a busy pre-season schedule ahead of them.

The Blues are off to America where they play Wrexham, Celtic, Club America, Manchester City and Real Madrid, before returning to England to play Inter Milan.

The Premier League campaign begins against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on 18 August.
