A royal commentator has revealed the ‘one thing’ King Charles might never be able to forgive Prince Harry for.

Four years after parting ways with the Royal Family, some believe Harry and Meghan Markle may be ‘running out of time’ to reconcile and resume royal duties.

That’s the view of Richard Eden, diary editor at the Daily Mail, who believes that can only happen while Charles is king.

He said: ‘I really think that when Prince William is King, I can’t see him letting Harry come back and have a role again.

‘They are irrelevant now, they are just not wanted as part of the monarchy, maybe there could be some radical change but it’s hard to see.’

But Christopher Andersen, who has written books about the king, his sons and their wives, thinks Harry will remain ‘on his own’ until Charles overcomes one obstacle.

That barrier to a return is Harry’s criticism of Queen Camilla, Charles’ wife, in his memoir Spare.

He told Fox News Digital: ‘I think people have to realise that the one thing that Charles finds unforgivable is criticism of Camilla.

‘Unfortunately for Harry, [he has said] some pretty devastating things about her. Prince Harry made it clear that he felt she was the villain in the piece.

‘I think that still bothers the king, and I don’t know that it will be easy for him to [forgive]. I don’t think they’ll ever forgive Harry for that.’

Expert claims Prince Harry is ‘feeling increasing weight of royal disapproval’

An expert has claimed that Prince Harry is ‘feeling the increasing weight of Royal disapproval’.

The claim comes after reports Harry and Meghan were not invited to the King’s official birthday parade, Trooping the Colour last weekend.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told the Mirror: ‘After missing his old friend the Duke of Westminster’s recent wedding and now being kept out of Trooping the Colour, Harry is feeling the increasing weight of Royal disapproval.

‘What’s really frustrating for Harry is that at one time he thought his absence from royal events would lead to increasing efforts to persuade him to attend but those days are long over.’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ‘running out of time’ to rejoin the royal family, according to commentator Richard Eden.

The Daily Mail diary editor said: ‘I really think that when Prince William is King, I can’t see him letting Harry come back and have a role again’.

But King Charles III might never drop his grudge against Harry after the estranged son made claims about Queen Camilla in his memoir, Spare, royal biographer Christopher Andersen claimed.

Officials greeted Emperor Naruhito, 64, and his wife Empress Masako, 60, when they landed at Stansted Airport on Saturday.

It’s only the third state visit since Charles became king, and the first since he revealed his cancer diagnosis.

Naruhito wished his British counterpart, along with Charles’ daughter-in-law Kate Middleton, well during their treatments for cancer.

He said: ‘I understand that they are both going through a hard time, but I pray that their treatment will go smoothly and that they will have a speedy recovery.’

Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis might never be working royals

The two youngest children of Prince William and Kate Middleton could lead relatively normal lives, by royal standards at least.

Princess Charlotte’s and Prince Louis’ older brother Prince George will one day ascend to the throne – if the monarchy survives that long.

But it’s possible the pair will never become ‘working royals’, even when their parents succeed King Charles and Queen Camilla, according to a royal commentator.

This would mean they don’t take on patronages, make official appearances or take on other royal duties.

Writing in MailOnline, Richard Eden claimed to have spoken to a friend of William who said: ‘He sees the small European monarchies as the model for the future.’

Eden added: ‘When the older members of the family retire, His Royal Highness won’t be inviting anyone else to become working royals.

‘It remains to be seen if he will even want his two younger children to be working royals.’

A service of celebration for the life of Lady Gabriella Windsor’s late husband has been held in Kensington, west London.

In late February, the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent was left bereaved when Thomas Kingston, 45, died from a ‘catastrophic head injury’.

Close friends and family of Mr Kingston, including some members of the royal family, attended the service at St Mary Abbots church on Saturday.

The King and Queen, and the Prince and Princess of Wales were not present.

A spokesperson for the family said: ‘Lady Gabriella and the Kingston family have been deeply touched by the outpouring of love, kindness and support they have received over the past difficult months.

‘They were grateful today for the chance to celebrate – and give thanks for – the life of a wonderful man, among so many of those who knew and loved him too.’

Earlier this week, Lady Gabriella, the King’s second cousin, was hugged by Zara Tindall during a day at Royal Ascot after she joined the traditional carriage procession.

It was her first major appearance since the death of Mr Kingston.

The King and Queen welcomed Qatar’s Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani on the final day of the world-famous Royal Ascot meeting.

Charles and Camilla joined thousands of punters for an afternoon of racing, and invited family and friends to watch the action on the turf.

They led the traditional carriage procession alongside Sheikh Abdullah and Lady Charles Spencer-Churchill.

Trainers Willie Mullins and Jamie Snowden, and their wives, were also included in the procession, as well as the Earl De La War, Sir Michael Stevens and Saudi businessman Wafic Said.

Charles and Camilla’ horse Hard to Resist was a longshot in the Sandringham Stakes yesterday with odds of 40-1, and finished way adrift of the leading riders.

Two royal horses have been entered for the final day of Royal Ascot, with Desert Hero expected to start in the Hardwicke Stakes and Treasure in the Golden Gates Stakes.

The King has been present for three out of the five days of the races in Berkshire, where many of his horses are competing this week.

Has Taylor Swift met the Royals before?

It’s not the first time Taylor has met Royalty.

In 2013, she was filmed onstage singing alongside William and Bon Jovi.

As King Charles continues to undergo cancer treatment, it’s been rumoured he may scale back his Australia trip and cancel a tour of New Zealand all together.

A source has revealed to the Mirror that he may not undertake quite as many engagements due to his ongoing health issues.

The source said: ‘Naturally, it will be a bitter disappointment on both sides to not have the opportunity for the King and Queen to visit New Zealand, but of course all are aware of the King’s ongoing health and the need for him to pace himself.

‘It’s very much hoped there will be further opportunities in the future.’

It’s not known exactly when the King had planned to go, but it’s thought to have been planned for later in 2024.

He last visited Australia in 2018, and New Zealand in 2019.

‘I am so thankful I was beside Diana’s bedside the whole time because I felt as though I’d shared deeply in the process of birth and as a result was rewarded by seeing a small creature who belonged to us even though he seemed to belong to everyone else as well.’

The King and Queen will need the rub of the green to see another Royal Ascot winner on the penultimate day of the Berkshire meet.

Charles and Camilla will join thousands of racegoers for another afternoon of racing and have invited family and friends to watch the action on the turf.

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and Lord Frederick Windsor and his wife, actress Sophie Winkleman, will be in the traditional carriage procession, along with Dame Darcey Bussell and JCB manufacturer Lord Bamford.

The King and Queen’s horse Hard to Resist will run in the Sandringham Stakes, but is a longshot with odds of 50-1, and is way adrift of the favourites.

The couple took on Queen Elizabeth II’s thoroughbreds and last year had their first Royal Ascot winner, when Desert Hero triumphed in the King George V Stakes.

Among the celebrities presenting the racing prizes will be actress Dame Maureen Lipman and the author Dame Jilly Cooper.

Rob Burrow’s family calls message from Prince of Wales ‘heartwarming and sincere’ after rugby player’s death

The Prince of Wales sent a personal message to Rob Burrow’s family after his death, which the former rugby league player’s wife has described as ‘heartwarming and sincere’ and ‘something that we will treasure as a family forever’.

Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) barely two years after ending his stellar playing career, but refused to give up the fight and threw himself into a campaign to raise awareness of the condition and help raise funds to find a cure.

He died earlier this month at the age of 41 after a four-and-a-half-year battle with the degenerative disease, and is survived by his wife Lindsey and children Macy, Maya and Jackson.

In an interview with BBC Breakfast, Mrs Burrow said it was ‘really overwhelming’ to see the support and tributes pour in after her husband’s death, but highlighted a personal message from William as one that ‘really sticks out’.

She told the programme: ‘One that really sticks out, the one that is so special to me, was a message, a personal message, as a parent, from his royal highness the Prince of Wales.

‘That was really heartwarming, really sincere, and that’s something that we will treasure as a family forever.’

William met Burrow, and his former teammate Kevin Sinfield, at Headingley, Leeds, in January, where the prince surprised them by making them CBEs for services to MND awareness.

Recalling that day, Mrs Burrow described William as ‘a really genuine, sincere future king’.

‘That’s again a day that we’ll remember and treasure forever and to get that message from Prince William has given us a lot of comfort and will always have a special place in my heart,’ she told BBC Breakfast.

At the time, Sinfield had raised more than £15 million since his friend was diagnosed with MND.

William told Burrow at Headingley: ‘The most amount of thank yous and congratulations for all the inspirational work you’ve done Rob, you’ve been amazing and everyone’s so proud of you.’
