It’s that time of the year when we get to find out who the hardest working royal was over the past 12 months.

Prince Charles is probably the one people think gets about the most following the Queen’s reduction in her activities.

But it’s actually his sister Princess Anne who has done the most work this year, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

Its analysis showed she’d been on 180 engagements compared to his more than 160.

Prince Charles was actually third in the list, with his brother Prince Edward second with more than 170 engagements.

Prince William clocked in with 120, the Queen had the same and Prince Harry had more than 90.

Princess Anne stays super busy with around 300 charities and other groups she’s involved with, including Save the Children UK which she is the president of.

It was the third time in a row she’s got the honour of being hardest working royal.

Meghan Markle was a new entry on to the list as she began life as a royal this year after she married Prince Harry.

She visited Australasia with her new husband in October.

Lagging behind on the list was Kate Middleton with around 50 official engagements but she had an excuse because she was on maternity leave after the birth of Prince Louis in April.

The Sunday Telegraph studied the Court Circular – a document that shows the number of days royals carried out official duties.
