What’s Your Social Media Look like?
Is your social media making you money?
There are so many companies out there that are “marketing” on social media. Now, we ask what does this mean and what does it look like? Creating a solid planl, following up, and tracking your data can be the key to your success as a business. Many companies have a Facebook page or have an Instagram account but there really isn’t a plan.
Creating a plan is the key to making your business grow! Start with the question is your social media marketing optimized? What does that mean? Well optimized means that you have a photo, cover image, bio, website URL, hours open, etc. These things will differ and vary depending on what social media platform you are looking at. One of the best things to start with when you are creating a plan is to get a calendar and start marking on it what you are going to post on what days. Write it down! What are you going to post on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, your website, blogs, etc. on a daily basis?
Do you interact and engage with your customers on your social media marketing platforms? This can be contests, asking questions, responding to questions, responding to comments on posts or pictures. When you engage with your customers on a consistent basis, they see your “name” more often and will think of you when they or a friend needs your product or service.
Something to think about, who is your market? I am sure you thought of this when you started your business but is this something you have written down and have you gone back to review it? Ensuring that you know who you are marketing to is going to be a huge factor in helping target the right market for people to reach out to you.
Here are a couple key things to review when you are starting to look at your social media:
Is your target market written down?
Do you have a social media mission statement?
Look at the current social media platforms and evaluate which ones you are one.
How do you determine the success of your social media presence and marketing?
Do you have engaging content and have a plan to get it out on a consistent basis?
How often and how do you look at social media results?
Do you track your social media results, and do you change your marketing based on your results?
Something that might be beneficial before you pay a company to take over your social media, it might be beneficial to pay a small fee to have your social media marketing evaluated and then a plan created. This has no obligation to sign a contract or have someone take over your social media, but it gives you an idea of what might be needed going forward.
Spend your time being the expert you are and let your “friends” be the experts in their area. Create a family to build your business and enjoy your success!
