Not soon enough... Credit: popeyes

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know there's been so much hype over the Popeyes chicken sandwich that the restaurant actually sold out of the new menu item. Unfortunately, if you haven't gotten to feast on the crispy delicacy, we don't yet know when your chance will come again.

People on eBay have taken to listing the Popeyes sandwich for sale with starting bids at stupidly high prices, because who wouldn't want to pay $2,000 for a sketchy secondhand fast food sandwich? While the food listings have since been taken down, you can still get some pretty bizarre memorabilia — $7.99 for a "sold out" sign anyone?

The real way to get Popeyes's chicken sandwich as soon as it comes back in stock, though — and please get it from the restaurant and not from some rando online — is to download the Popeyes app and turn on push notifications.

Instead of then sprinting to your nearest store to wait in line, send someone else to do it for you. That's why food delivery services were invented, after all.

Popeyes is on DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub. We suggest downloading them all for the best odds of getting the sandwich as soon as possible.
